Manager's Thoughts

"I don't think watching their match against Celtic is going to give much away because I would expect them to line up differently against us.

"John Hughes is a good experienced manager, a good appointment I think. He'll be relishing the opportunity to be back in the game with Ross County.

"He's a football man who likes to build from the back and likes to get the ball down and play. I don't suppose he's lost the way of thinking in his time out of the game.

"Ross County have got some very good players that I'm sure John will be looking forward to working with."

Manager's Thoughts

"Rangers will be heavy favourites to go on and win the cup but as we have all seen in recent years, particularly in this competition, there are upsets along the way.

"There’s definitely an opportunity there and I think everyone will be willing us on on Wednesday. Every other manager that’s left in the competition will want us to cause an upset because if we are able to knock out Rangers then it’s a better opportunity for everyone."

Saints are unbeaten in their last two matches at Fir Park.

Jim Goodwin's men defeated the Steelmen in Scottish Premiership action at Fir Park in February. Jon Obika levelled early in the second-half after Motherwell had taken the lead through Liam Donnelly. Ilkay Durmus netted a late winner to give Saints all three points.

The Buddies had knocked Motherwell out of the Scottish Cup on penalties a week previous following a 4-4 draw.

Manager's Thoughts

"We're in a great place at the moment.

"Motherwell, although they haven't hit the heights of last season, still pretty much have the same squad and they are capable on any day of beating anyone.

"We've got to be aware of the threat Motherwell carry, but we've also got to remind ourselves of how well we are playing and how much of a threat we are carrying at the moment.

"To do what we did to Aberdeen back-to-back gives us great confidence and belief. We have to take confidence from those particular games and carry it into another difficult game against Motherwell.

"We feel as if everyone is back to 100% fitness and injury wise we've got no concerns. It's a great place for me to be as manager when we have real competition for places."

Manager's thoughts

"The players and staff are all in a good place at the moment because we're on a good run.

"Beating a team like Aberdeen, who are probably the third biggest in the country, and put in the level of performance that we did was outstanding.

"We're under no illusions that this weekend is going to be a completely different Aberdeen. I imagine they'll be really fired up and looking to put things right in their eyes so we have to be prepared for that.

"Our bread and butter is the league and it's important we back up the two most recent league games with another really good performance and result."

Who are the officials?

Bobby Madden is the referee for Saturday's match. He'll be assisted by David McGeachie and Paul O'Neill. Kevin Graham is the fourth official.

Manager's Thoughts

"Hopefully we can put in a similar performance to the win over Livingston in terms of the organisation, togetherness and desire that the players showed and hopefully added to that we can play some good football along the way.

"It's a competition that if we apply ourselves properly and get a little bit of luck along the way you can go far in it.

"I'm expecting Aberdeen to come all guns blazing. Apart from getting Celtic or Rangers this is the next toughest game we could have got. But it is a one off game and it's an opportunity for us to try and get to a quarter-final of a major trophy."
