Consilium extend their sponsorship of the club for a further two seasons

St Mirren Football Club is pleased to announce that our Main Sponsor, Consilium Contracting Services, has confirmed it is continuing its sponsorship of the club for a further two seasons.

The extension will take the sponsorship deal up to the end of season 2027/28, the club’s 150th anniversary.

St Mirren Chief Operating Officer, Keith Lasley said: "Consilium's support has been a huge benefit to the club, and their continued backing is greatly appreciated.

"It will help the club continue to push forward as we head into another exciting period, building on the success we’ve enjoyed in recent seasons."

St Mirren’s club captain, Mark O’Hara added: "Both Consilium and Paul have been great supporters of St Mirren and as captain of the club, I want to thank them for their ongoing support."

Consilium managing director, Paul McGrath said: "I’ve loved the club my whole life and being in a position to sponsor them is a dream come true.

"We are the first local company to sponsor the club since Graham’s buses 40 years ago. That deal covered the last Scottish Cup victory in 1987, and our deal has also resulted in silverware with the League Cup this season. Hopefully that’s a good omen for the future.

It is an honour and privilege to be working with the club for another two seasons."

Saints make it back-to-back wins after victory over Aberdeen

Saints made it back-to-back wins thanks to a fine display against Aberdeen to ensure there was no happy return to Paisley for former boss Stephen Robinson.

Liam Donnelly could have had a first-half hat-trick from Declan John deliveries but it was Jonah Ayunga's goal which had Saints in front at the break, the forward executing a smart turn before firing a low shot past visiting goalie Per Kristian Bratveit.

The Dons improved after the break but, aside from former Saint Toyosi Olusanya heading over, had little to show for their efforts and the Buddies added a second 10 minutes from the end thanks to a tremendous Alex Gogic header from Scott Tanser's perfect corner.

Tanser had had to make do with a place on the bench as John took his slot on the left, interim Saints boss Craig McLeish also changing the strikeforce that started against Falkirk a fortnight ago by starting Ayunga and Mikael Mandron instead of Jake Young and Dan Nlundulu. The visitors also made three changes from their last game, Bratveit replacing Dimitar Mitov in goals and Graeme Shinnie and Topi Keskinen starting at the expense of Ante Palaversa and Dennis Geiger. Former Saints Olusanya and Elvis Bwomono were on the bench.

Donnelly twice went close to bagging his second goal in as many games in the early stages, seeing one header from a corner tipped over by Bratveit and his second one clip the bar. It was Miguel Freckleton who was next to threaten from one of John's corners, the defender meeting it perfectly but his header flew just wide. It took until midway through the half for Aberdeen to pose their first real threat, Kenan Bilalovic bursting forward before curling a shot inches past the post. Shinnie then got the better of Gogic to drill in a dangerous ball that Shamal George did well to turn away.

Donnelly had a third chance to open the scoring for Saints from a well worked free-kick, the Irishman getting on the end of another great John cross but he headed wide when he should at least have hit the target. As half-time neared, the hosts finally got the goal their play deserved. Mark O'Hara's free-kick wasn't properly cleared and Ayunga gathered up the ball, spun and then drilled a fantastic low shot from 20 yards out beyond the grasp of Bratveit to the delight of the majority of the sell-out crowd.

The Dons changed their strike force at the break, Olusanya and Kevin Nisbet replacing the booked pairing of Bilalovic and Lazetic with Stuart Armstrong also coming on for Keskinen. The change in personnel and approach certainly made a difference as the visitors were more of a threat without creating much, shouts of handball at a corner leading to nothing following a VAR review before Nisbet blasted a free-kick into the wall, VAR again deciding there'd been no handball despite the appeals from the striker. Another free-kick gave Olusanya a sight of goal when Miguel Freckleton was unable to head the ball clear but the former Buddies favourite sent his own header harmlessly over the bar.

Saints had barely threatened since the interval but Nlundulu nearly added a second as the game entered the final 10 minutes, the sub exchanging passes with Mandron before curling an effort towards he bottom corner that Bratveit turned behind. However, crosses had been Aberdeen's weakness all afternoon and so it proved again from the corner, a pinpoint cross from Scott Tanser being met with a thumping header from Alex Gogic that flew into the net to double Saints' advantage and wrap up all three points.

Visitor Information

  • Electronic Ticketing System

At the SMiSA Stadium we have an electronic ticketing system in place at the turnstiles.

The process of using the system is fairly straight-forward and easy to use:

    • On entering the turnstile you will see the ticket reader.
    • Place your match ticket (with the barcode or QR code facing upwards) or smartcard – into the aperture
    • Once the ticket/smartcard is accepted into the system the green light will illuminate and an audio alert will sound after which you should hear the turnstile being unlocked
    • Push the turnstile gate and enter the stadium as you normally would.

The whole process will only take a few seconds.

Please note that there will be stewards in attendance to help where required.

  • Street Parking on Matchday

The Club has been made aware of problems occasioned by inconsiderate parking in the area of Tannahill Road.

Seemingly supporters are parking despite the presence of double yellow lines and as a consequence local bus routes are also being blocked because streets in this area are narrow and fans are parking on both sides. People, many of whom are elderly, are having to walk from Greenhill Road to their homes because buses can’t get access.

Residents who have cars parked in driveways are experiencing similar difficulties getting their vehicles in and out. On being approached by local residents some supporters have been somewhat aggressive which could lead to confrontation.

St Mirren Football Club strives to be a good neighbour and we would ask that ALL supporters attending the stadium not only park in accordance with local parking restrictions but also give consideration to the needs of local residents by parking sensibly so as not to occasion an unnecessary obstruction.

  • Picking Up & Dropping Off by Car on Match Day

We are also aware of problems with patrons parking at the front of the Main Stand to pick up disabled supporters at the end of the game. This area is a 'no parking' zone on match days (with cones on the road) and has to be kept clear for emergency access. It is an inappropriate location for disabled spectator uplifts, as not only does it cause an obstruction on the road, it also causes a danger to pedestrians leaving the stadium.

Please note that the designated pick-up/drop off points are either in Drums Avenue or the two lay-byes on Ferguslie Park Avenue.

  • Getting to the SMiSA Stadium

    BY ROAD

Follow signs for Paisley & Glasgow Airport. Exit the M8 at Junction 29 (St James’ Interchange) which is just after Glasgow Airport turn off if travelling east to west. Be careful not to exit on to the A737 which is signposted for Irvine. It is best to stay in the middle lane when passing the Airport as this leads naturally to the St James’ Interchange exit.

At the interchange take the first left onto a dual carriageway with some football parks on the left hand side. Follow this road and after a sharp right hand bend you should now be in Greenock Road. Then take your first right on to Clark Street and drive to the end of the street which is the junction with Greenhill Road, turn left and you will see the stadium on the opposite side of the road.

From the Town Hall cross the High Street towards the Piazza Shopping Centre, when acoss walk towards the town centre until you come to Gilmour Street. Turn right on to Gilmour Street and walk towards the railway station which is about 150 yards away. From there you can get train to Paisley St James or if you prefer to walk the following routes are advised by the police:

Home fans: cross road to the left on to St James Street – follow through up Underwood Road then turn right at Greenhill Road where stadium is 200 yards further along the road. Access to the Main Stand is from Greenhill Road and the South and West Stands will be accessed from Drums Avenue.

Away fans: cross road to Love Street continue up the street till you come to Albion Street where you will turn left. Follow Albion Street until you come to the junction with Greenock Road where you will turn right. Cross the road then walk about 200 yards before taking your first left on to Clark Street. No Knives, Better Lives Campaign

Police Scotland is launching a month-long awareness campaign across Renfrewshire and Inverclyde to highlight the dangers and consequences of violence and to signpost young people, parents, carers and teachers to support and educational resources.

The campaign is being led locally in partnership with Fearless, the youth service of Crimestoppers, and No Knives, Better Lives (NKBL), with activity taking place throughout April in schools, online and at two local football fixtures.

As part of the campaign, No Knives, Better Lives will support awareness activity at Saturday's William Hill Premiership match between St Mirren and Aberdeen at The SMiSA Stadium. This will include NKBL messaging displayed on screens within the stadium and Police Scotland Youth Volunteers handing out leaflets outside the ground.

Alongside the matchday activity, information will be shared with parents, carers and teachers from all the region’s secondary schools, signposting them to resources from both Fearless and No Knives, Better Lives.

Inspector Laura Magill, of Police Scotland, said: "Becoming involved in violent crime can have devastating and life-changing consequences, not only for those directly involved, but also for families, friends and the wider community.

"This campaign is about raising awareness, encouraging conversations and making sure young people know where they can turn for help, advice and support. By working with partners such as Fearless and No Knives, Better Lives, we can reach young people in a variety of settings and help reinforce the message that carrying a knife is never the answer."

Anyone seeking more information during the campaign will be able to access resources from Fearless and No Knives, Better Lives through local schools, campaign partners and Police Scotland’s social media channels.
