Visitor Information

  • Electronic Ticketing System

At the SMiSA Stadium we have an electronic ticketing system in place at the turnstiles.

The process of using the system is fairly straight-forward and easy to use:

    • On entering the turnstile you will see the ticket reader.
    • Place your match ticket (with the barcode or QR code facing upwards) or smartcard – into the aperture
    • Once the ticket/smartcard is accepted into the system the green light will illuminate and an audio alert will sound after which you should hear the turnstile being unlocked
    • Push the turnstile gate and enter the stadium as you normally would.

The whole process will only take a few seconds.

Please note that there will be stewards in attendance to help where required.

  • Street Parking on Matchday

The Club has been made aware of problems occasioned by inconsiderate parking in the area of Tannahill Road.

Seemingly supporters are parking despite the presence of double yellow lines and as a consequence local bus routes are also being blocked because streets in this area are narrow and fans are parking on both sides. People, many of whom are elderly, are having to walk from Greenhill Road to their homes because buses can’t get access.

Residents who have cars parked in driveways are experiencing similar difficulties getting their vehicles in and out. On being approached by local residents some supporters have been somewhat aggressive which could lead to confrontation.

St Mirren Football Club strives to be a good neighbour and we would ask that ALL supporters attending the stadium not only park in accordance with local parking restrictions but also give consideration to the needs of local residents by parking sensibly so as not to occasion an unnecessary obstruction.

  • Picking Up & Dropping Off by Car on Match Day

We are also aware of problems with patrons parking at the front of the Main Stand to pick up disabled supporters at the end of the game. This area is a 'no parking' zone on match days (with cones on the road) and has to be kept clear for emergency access. It is an inappropriate location for disabled spectator uplifts, as not only does it cause an obstruction on the road, it also causes a danger to pedestrians leaving the stadium.

Please note that the designated pick-up/drop off points are either in Drums Avenue or the two lay-byes on Ferguslie Park Avenue.

  • Finding the SMiSA Stadium

  • Getting to the SMiSA Stadium

    BY ROAD

Follow signs for Paisley & Glasgow Airport. Exit the M8 at Junction 29 (St James’ Interchange) which is just after Glasgow Airport turn off if travelling east to west. Follow this road and after a sharp right hand bend you should now be in Greenock Road. Then take your first right on to Clark Street and drive to the end of the street which is the junction with Greenhill Road, turn left and you will see the stadium on the opposite side of the road.

From there you can get train to Paisley St James or if you prefer to walk the following routes are advised by the police:

It's Monday night football for St Mirren when we host Heart of Midlothian in the Fifth Round of the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup.

Match Details

St Mirren v Heart of Midlothian
Competition: Scottish Gas Scottish Cup
Date: Monday 10th February 2025
Kick-off: 7:45pm
Venue: The SMiSA Stadium

The Opposition

Hearts secured their place in the Fifth Round of the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup with a 4-1 win away to Brechin City.

Neil Critchley's men have hit form in recent weeks, having won five of their last six matches in all competitions,  culminating in a 6-0 win away to Dundee in the William Hill Premiership last weekend.

Both sides have a win each after two meetings between the two so far this season. Richard Taylor forced an own goal before Toyosi Olusanya netted the winner for Saints in a 2-1 victory over Hearts at The SMiSA Stadium in September. Hearts were victorious in the following match at Tynecastle, winning 4-0 in Neil Critchley's first match in charge of the Gorgie side.

The Jam Tarts picked up the win the last time the two met in the Scottish Cup. Despite goals from Eamonn Brophy and Connor Ronan seeing Saints fightback from 2-0 down, Hearts prevailed 4-2 at Tynecastle in the quarter-final stage back in March 2022.

Callum Penman joins Arbroath on loan until the end of the season

St Mirren Football Club can confirm that Callum Penman has joined Arbroath on loan until the end of the season.

The 17-year-old St Mirren Youth Academy graduate links up with the Angus side for the remainder 2024/25.

Callum made his first-team debut in our 2-1 win over Rangers as a late substitute and made his first start in a 3-1 win away to Queen of the South in the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup last month.

He will now head to the League One side to aid his development before returning to fight for a starting slot in the first-team next season.

Manager Stephen Robinson said: "We believe highly in the loan system and we already have Fraser Taylor there doing really well. Ryan Flynn is there as well, so Callum is joining a really good club.

"I went to watch Arbroath recently with Brian Kerr and it's a good standard. We feel he needs 20 games and going to play men's football will really improve him.

"We believe he has a really bright future at St Mirren and we feel he'll come back with a real chance of being a first-team player. It's a case of getting him regular game time and making mistakes, learning from them, and dealing with crowds.

We believe Callum has super ability. He is going to be a big player in the future for the club. But this is, in my opinion, the right way to develop him.

"He will go and get game time and come back fighting for a place in the starting line-up next season."

We wish Callum all the best during his time at Arbroath.

Ryan Alebiosu raring to go after deadline day move

Ryan Alebiosu is raring to go after joining up with Saints in a deadline day move from K.V. Kortrijk

The 23-year-old defender arrived in Scotland late last night after agreeing a loan move from the Belgian Pro League side until the end of the season.

Ryan was thrust straight into it this morning, training with his new teammates for the first time.

Speaking to stmirren.com, Ryan said: "Everyone was welcoming.

There is a good bunch of players here all thriving for the same goal. It was good to see them today and hopefully we can build a connection and get going.

"I had been speaking to the gaffer for a few days before the window closed. He told me about the project here and I thought it was a great project to be a part of.

The manager wants me to use my speed going forward and get up and down the flanks. He wants me to provide an attacking threat and be solid defensively too."

Stephen Robinson admitted yesterday that Ryan was a player he has tried to sign before.

Now the defender is hoping to repay the manager's faith in him.

"The gaffer has been keeping an eye on me for a while and has tried to get me in in the past.

It obviously didn't work out previously, but knowing he wants me here really gives me confidence. I want to give my all for him and show what I can do.

"There is a good bunch of players, good lads and a good environment. I can't wait to get started."

Ryan Alebiosu poses at The SMiSA Stadium

Ryan returns to Scottish football after a stint with Kilmarnock during season 2022/23 and he feels his experience since then will help him hit the ground running.

"Scottish football is more physical and that's what I experienced before when I was younger at Kilmarnock.

"I've had more experience since then so I just can't wait to kick on and get myself ready."

Ryan Alebiosu joins on loan from K.V. Kortrijk

St Mirren Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Ryan Alebiosu on loan until the end of the season subject to international clearance.

The 23-year-old right-sided defender joins Saints for the remainder of the campaign from Belgian Pro League side K.V. Kortrijk.

The Englishman began his career with Arsenal, turning professional at the Gunners in 2020. Ryan spent a portion of the 2021/22 season on loan at Crewe Alexandra where he made six appearances in English League One.

Ryan would then gain experience of Scottish football during season 2022/23 when he joined Kilmarnock on a season-long loan. Ryan made 29 appearances across all competitions during his time at Rugby Park.

Following his departure from Arsenal, the defender moved to Belgium to join K.V. Kortrijk in September 2023 and has featured 25 times for De Kerels, including 13 times in the Jupiler Pro League this season.

Manager Stephen Robinson said: "It’s important that we got someone in at the right-side of the pitch.

"Elvis Bwomono is very good defensively, but in some games, we may need a player who is more like a winger and Ryan can bring us that.

"We tried to get him previously when he was at Arsenal. It’s a chance for him to put himself in the shop window and for us to benefit from a different type of right-sided player in certain games.

"He has experienced the league before. It was important to get someone who knows the league. It can be a shock to people’s system sometimes and it can surprise people. Ryan has experienced it before with Kilmarnock and he went abroad for a different experience.

He’s got electric pace and an end product in terms of crosses. It’s a move that strengthens the squad and allows us to hopefully put young Callum Penman out on loan to gain valuable experience for next season."

We thank K.V. Kortrijk for their assistance in making this loan move possible. Ryan is expected to arrive in Scotland later this evening and will join up with his Saints teammates tomorrow.

Charles Dunne moves on

St Mirren Football Club wishes Charles Dunne the best of luck after the defender completed a move to Coleraine.

The 31-year-old has joined the NIFL Premiership side after his short-term Saints contract expired in January.

A popular figure at St Mirren, Charles made 91 appearances during his initial three years at the club before moving on in the summer. However, he would return to Paisley in September on a short-term contract and added a further four appearances before injury curtailed his time at Saints.

Everyone at St Mirren thanks Charles for all his efforts during his time at the club and wish him the best of luck for the future.

Club Statement - Refereeing decisions

St Mirren FC is disappointed with the decision not to award a penalty in the first-half of yesterday’s match against St Johnstone following a foul on Elvis Bwomono.

A VAR review cleared this decision without requiring the referee to look at the incident on the pitchside monitor. The club has spoken to Scottish Football Association’s Referee Department today seeking clarity on this and other decisions in yesterday’s match.

Clearly, we are all humans and mistakes will happen. However, there has now been an accumulation of errors made against St Mirren. This is hugely disappointing for the club and our supporters, and we will continue to engage with the Scottish FA to improve standards of officiating.

Frustrating afternoon as St Mirren beaten by St Johnstone

St Mirren were beaten at The SMiSA Stadium with Bozo Mikulić's goal the difference on a disappointing afternoon in Paisley.

After a brilliant win away to Aberdeen last weekend, manager Stephen Robinson made just one change to the side with Elvis Bwomono coming in for Callum Penman.

The Buddies started brightly with Mikael Mandron racing clear on goal with just five minutes on the clock. However, the forward's tame effort was saved by Ross Sinclair with the offside flag raised.

Caolan Boyd-Munce sent a free-kick off the wall from 20 yards just before the half-hour mark, while Mandron shot into the arms of Sinclair from just inside the area.

VAR checked for a St Mirren penalty on 34 minutes when Bwomono went down under a challenge in the box. But nothing was given to the dismay of the Saints full-back who looked to have been clipped by Drey Wright. Mark O'Hara was next to have a go for the Buddies but his strike from 20 yards was gathered by Sinclair as the game headed into half-time goalless.

Zach Hemming was first called into action on the hour when he got two strong hands behind a Graham Carey strike with the Saints stopper up quickly to then deny Makenzie Kirk on the follow up.

St Mirren thought they'd finally made the breakthrough on 68 minutes when substitute Greg Kiltie finished from close-range. But referee Dan McFarlane disallowed the effort for a Toyosi Olusanya foul in the build-up.

How frustrating costly that moment would prove to be when the visitors took the lead three minutes later. Saints couldn't deal with the loose ball after a corner and that allowed Mikulić to knock home from close range to score the only goal of the game.
