Visitor Information

  • Electronic Ticketing System

At the SMiSA Stadium we have an electronic ticketing system in place at the turnstiles.

The process of using the system is fairly straight-forward and easy to use:

    • On entering the turnstile you will see the ticket reader.
    • Place your match ticket (with the barcode or QR code facing upwards) or smartcard – into the aperture
    • Once the ticket/smartcard is accepted into the system the green light will illuminate and an audio alert will sound after which you should hear the turnstile being unlocked
    • Push the turnstile gate and enter the stadium as you normally would.

The whole process will only take a few seconds.

Please note that there will be stewards in attendance to help where required.

  • Street Parking on Matchday

The Club has been made aware of problems occasioned by inconsiderate parking in the area of Tannahill Road.

Seemingly supporters are parking despite the presence of double yellow lines and as a consequence local bus routes are also being blocked because streets in this area are narrow and fans are parking on both sides. People, many of whom are elderly, are having to walk from Greenhill Road to their homes because buses can’t get access.

Residents who have cars parked in driveways are experiencing similar difficulties getting their vehicles in and out. On being approached by local residents some supporters have been somewhat aggressive which could lead to confrontation.

St Mirren Football Club strives to be a good neighbour and we would ask that ALL supporters attending the stadium not only park in accordance with local parking restrictions but also give consideration to the needs of local residents by parking sensibly so as not to occasion an unnecessary obstruction.

  • Picking Up & Dropping Off by Car on Match Day

We are also aware of problems with patrons parking at the front of the Main Stand to pick up disabled supporters at the end of the game. This area is a 'no parking' zone on match days (with cones on the road) and has to be kept clear for emergency access. It is an inappropriate location for disabled spectator uplifts, as not only does it cause an obstruction on the road, it also causes a danger to pedestrians leaving the stadium.

Please note that the designated pick-up/drop off points are either in Drums Avenue or the two lay-byes on Ferguslie Park Avenue.

  • Finding the SMiSA Stadium

  • Getting to the SMiSA Stadium

    BY ROAD

Follow signs for Paisley & Glasgow Airport. Exit the M8 at Junction 29 (St James’ Interchange) which is just after Glasgow Airport turn off if travelling east to west. Be careful not to exit on to the A737 which is signposted for Irvine. It is best to stay in the middle lane when passing the Airport as this leads naturally to the St James’ Interchange exit.

At the interchange take the first left onto a dual carriageway with some football parks on the left hand side. Follow this road and after a sharp right hand bend you should now be in Greenock Road. Then take your first right on to Clark Street and drive to the end of the street which is the junction with Greenhill Road, turn left and you will see the stadium on the opposite side of the road.

    BY RAIL

Get train from Paisley Gilmour Street to Paisley St James – exit from the station is straight onto Greenhill Road where the stadium is facing you. To plan your journey by rail with Scotrail please click HERE.

    BY BUS

Most buses will stop at Paisley Cross or Mill Street, from both you will see the Paisley Town Hall. From the Town Hall cross the High Street towards the Piazza Shopping Centre, when acoss walk towards the town centre until you come to Gilmour Street. Turn right on to Gilmour Street and walk towards the railway station which is about 150 yards away. From there you can get train to Paisley St James or if you prefer to walk the following routes are advised by the police:

Home fans: cross road to the left on to St James Street – follow through up Underwood Road then turn right at Greenhill Road where stadium is 200 yards further along the road. Access to the Main Stand is from Greenhill Road and the South and West Stands will be accessed from Drums Avenue.

Away fans: cross road to Love Street continue up the street till you come to Albion Street where you will turn left. Follow Albion Street until you come to the junction with Greenock Road where you will turn right. Cross the road then walk about 200 yards before taking your first left on to Clark Street. Both sides have a victory each in the two meetings between the two this season.

Keanu Baccus, Mikael Mandron (x2) and Greg Kiltie were all on the scoresheet in a 4-0 win for Saints when St Johnstone visited Paisley in October.

An injury-time goal from Chris Kane saw St Johnstone win when the sides last met. The Perth Saints forward saw his penalty saved by Zach Hemming but followed up to give the hosts a 1-0 victory at McDiarmid Park in December.

St Mirren Football Club has today launched a new strategy as we aim to be the best community centred development football club in Scotland.

Club Statement

St Mirren Football Club is aware of an incident following Saturday’s match in which a Livingston supporter had his bag, containing merchandise he had purchased from their club shop, snatched.

We are deeply disappointed by this incident and have apologised on behalf of the club to the supporter in question and to Livingston FC. We also offered to pay the costs to replace the goods that were stolen from the supporter. However, Livingston had told us this was in hand and instead the money will now be donated to charity organisation Kick Mental Health at Livingston's request.

We do not wish to see our club and supporters tarnished by the behaviour of a small minority and firmly believe this is not reflective of the wider fanbase who offer us brilliant support home and away every week.

Diarmuid O'Carroll reaction to defeat at Livingston

Sometimes you have those days. We have to look at the positives from the performance."

Diarmuid O'Carroll gave his reaction to today's loss at Livingston.

Saints defeated at Livingston

St Mirren were beaten at The Tony Macaroni Arena with a Tete Yengi goal enough to give Livingston the three points.

It was a frustrating afternoon for Saints who dominated possession, had 21 shots to Livingston's six and would miss a late penalty after a VAR intervention.

Hyeokkyu Kwon returned to the starting eleven in place of Keanu Baccus while James Scott started ahead of Lewis Jamieson in the only changes from Sunday's Scottish Cup loss to Celtic. Alex Gogic and Greg Kiltie both made it despite being doubtful.

Saints started the game brightly, but it was the hosts who came closest in the first 20 minutes when Andrew Shinnie's header came off the post, though the offside flag was raised.

Kiltie sent an effort over the bar from 20 yards on 22 minutes, while Stephen Kelly saw a powerful shot from distance pushed away by Zach Hemming.

Caolan Boyd-Munce threatened twice from long-range with his first effort saved by Shamal George. The ball broke out to James Scott who knocked over from close-range but the offside flag was raised so it wouldn't have couldn't had he scored. Boyd-Munce was close again in the final minute of normal time in the first-half with his low strike from distance went inches by the post.

The hosts would take the lead when Yengi put them ahead in first-half stoppage time. Ayo Obileye's initial shot from a corner was pushed away by Hemming but the goalkeeper couldn't hold which allowed Yengi to slam home on the follow up.

The manager made a change at the break with Jamieson replacing Scott and the 21-year-old almost made an instant impact when he got on to a loose back pass. He attempted to round the goalkeeper but the ball came back out to Mikael Mandron who laid off for Kiltie on the edge of the area. The forward curled towards the top corner but his effort was headed clear by Michael Nottingham.

Saints were having all the pressure as they looked for a leveller, forcing a succession of corners after the hour mark but failing to make George work in the Livingston goal. Kwon side-footed wide from just inside the area.

The Buddies made two changes with just over 20 minutes remaining as Baccus and Toyosi Olusanya on for Kwon and Kiltie.

And it was Olusanya who looked like he might have helped find Saints a route into the match when he was fouled in the box by David Carson. Referee Euan Anderson didn't give it initially but after a lengthy VAR check the whistler was advised to check the screen where he ended up pointing to the spot. Mandron took the ball but saw his spot-kick saved by George.

The hosts almost doubled their advantage immediately after the penalty miss when a quick free-kick from Zach Hemming was pounced upon by Stephen Kelly who launched wide from 35 yards with the goal gaping.

Mandron had a huge chance to grab a point in the final minutes when slid in at the far post to meet a Jamieson cross but he sent the effort the wrong side of the post.

St Mirren are on the road in cinch Premiership action this weekend as Stephen Robinson's men head to Livingston on Saturday.

The Buddies go into the match on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Celtic in the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup on Sunday. Stephen Robinson's side currently sit in fifth place in the cinch Premiership - a point behind fourth placed Kilmarnock.

Livingston progressed to the quarter-finals of the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup on Saturday after a dramatic comeback victory saw the Lions defeat Partick Thistle 3-2 after extra-time. Livingston's last league win came back in October when Bruce Anderson and Sean Kelly scored in a 2-0 home win over Motherwell.

David Martindale's side sit at the bottom of the cinch Premiership and are six points adrift of 11th placed Ross County having played a game more than the Staggies and 11 points away from the safety of 10th place.

Saints have won one and drawn one of the two meetings between the two teams this season.

An own-goal from Sean Kelly was enough to give St Mirren a 1-0 victory when Livingston came to The SMiSA Stadium in November.

The Buddies rescued a late point at The Tony Macaroni Arena back in September when Stav Nahmani scored in stoppage time to equalise for Saints in a 1-1 draw. That came after Livingston had taken the lead with what looked like the winner on the 89th minute.

Livingston's last league victory over Saints was in February 2020 when the Lions defeated the Buddies 2-1 at The Tony Macaroni Arena.
