St Mirren got minutes in the legs as we took on Hearts in a closed door match in Spain.
The Buddies were beaten 3-1, but players got valuable playing time ahead of competitive action getting underway a week on Saturday.
Goalkeeper Jacob Chapman, who was officially signed this afternoon, started in goal while new signings Ryan Carr and Samuel Ramos also started.
Hearts scored two first-half goals with Sander Kartum giving the Edinburgh side a 1-0 lead on eight minutes when he fired home from the edge of the area. Rogers Mato doubled the Jambos' advantage when he headed home Yan Dhanda's corner just after the half hour mark.
The Buddies made a raft of changes in the second-half and substitute Thomas Falconer pulled a goal back with a tidy finish with just over 10 minutes remaining. It had felt like a deserved goal for the Saints after Chris Mochrie had seen a shot saved by Ryan Fulton before Struan Thompson saw a header come off the bar and Luke Douglas saw the attempted follow up header clawed off the line.
But Hearts added a third two minutes later when Calvin Miller's cross was turned in by James Wilson.
