Up Next: St Mirren v Livingston (11th May)

Our final home match of the 2021/22 season takes place on Wednesday night as we play host to Livingston at the SMiSA Stadium.

Saints sit three points off Wednesday night's opponents in the cinch Premiership after back-to-back wins over Dundee and St Johnstone.

Alex Greive and Curtis Main scored as the Buddies defeated Dundee 2-0 at the SMiSA Stadium on Saturday and guaranteed their place in the cinch Premiership next season.

Livingston sit in seventh position in the cinch Premiership - three points above Saints. David Martindale's men go into Wednesday's match having snatched a late draw with St Johnstone at the Tony Macaroni Arena on Saturday.

The Lions are unbeaten in their last four drawing with St Johnstone (1-1) & Motherwell (2-2) and winning against Hibernian (1-0) & Aberdeen (2-1).

The Buddies are unbeaten against Livingston in cinch Premiership action this season.

Ethan Erhahon scored the game's only goal when we defeated the Lions 1-0 at the Tony Macaroni Arena in the first league meeting in October.

Neither side could be separated in the other two league matches with both finishing 1-1. Nicky Devlin scored a last-gasp equaliser in November at the SMiSA Stadium to give Livi a point, while Greg Kiltie also netted a late leveller for Saints when the sides last met in February.

However, Livingston did edge out the Buddies in the Premier Sports Cup earlier this season - winning 4-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw after extra-time.

Up Next: St Mirren v Dundee (7th May)

It's St Mirren's last Saturday match of the 2021/22 season this weekend as we head into the final three matches.

Stephen Robinson's side host Dundee at the SMiSA Stadium with a chance to assure cinch Premiership status for next season. The Buddies are eight points clear of the relegation play-off spot with just nine points to play for after Saturday's 1-0 win away to St Johnstone.

Depending on results elsewhere, Saints could move up to eighth place with a win on Saturday.

Dundee know that a defeat could send them back to the second tier after a year in the Premiership. The Dee currently trail 11th place St Johnstone by five points, but a defeat for Mark McGhee's men coupled by a St Johnstone win at Livingston would see the Dark Blues relegated.

Dundee have drawn three and lost two of their last five league matches - drawing with St Johnstone (1-1), Dundee United (2-2) and Aberdeen (2-2), while losing to Aberdeen (0-1) and Rangers (1-2).

The Dens Park side haven't won in the cinch Premiership since a 2-1 victory against Hearts at Tynecastle in February - a run of 10 matches without a win.

The Buddies have won one, drawn one and lost one in their three meetings with the Dee this season.

The two sides met at the Kilmac Stadium on the opening day of the season with Eamonn Brophy and Jamie McGrath scoring in a 2-2 draw.

Dundee then took the points on their first visit to Paisley this season with Max Anderson's early goal enough to secure a 1-0 win for the visitors.

Saints left it late but managed to get the win when they faced Dundee in March. Connor Ronan scored an injury time header in a 1-0 win to give Stephen Robinson his first victory in charge of the Buddies.

Stephen Robinson's side sit in 10th place in the cinch Premiership - five points above the Perth Saints.

The Buddies have won one and lost four of their last five cinch Premiership matches with the solitary win away to Dundee last month.

St Johnstone have won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five. Callum Davidson's men defeated Motherwell (2-1) and Livingston (1-0), while drawing with Hibernian (0-0) and Dundee (1-1). Their only loss in those five was a 7-0 defeat to Celtic at Celtic Park in March.

St Mirren are undefeated against St Johnstone this season with one win and two draws from three meetings this campaign.

Alex Greive scored his first St Mirren goal in a 2-1 win over the Perth Saints at the SMiSA Stadium in February. Callum Hendry had put the visitors in front but goals from Connor Ronan and Greive either side of half-time gave the Buddies the three points.

The first two meetings finished goalless at both the SMiSA Stadium and McDiarmid Park.

The Buddies last win at McDiarmid Park was in 2014 when Jason Naismith and Adam Drury scored in a 2-1 win.

The officials

Andrew Dallas takes charge of Saturday's match. Ross Macleod and Gary Hilland are the linesmen and Colin Steven is fourth official.

Up Next: St Mirren v Hibernian (23rd April)

St Mirren are back in action this weekend as the season heads towards its conclusion.

There are just five league matches remaining and Stephen Robinson's men begin that run by hosting managerless Hibernian at the SMiSA Stadium with focus on finishing best of the rest in the bottom half of the cinch Premiership.

Saints head into the split two points off seventh place - currently occupied by Hibernian and a win on Saturday would see the Buddies leapfrog the Leith club.

The Hibees will be led by David Gray following the departure of Shaun Maloney earlier this week. The former Scotland international was sacked following defeats in the cinch Premiership and Scottish Cup to rivals Heart of Midlothian.

Saints are unbeaten in their three meetings with Hibernian this season - winning once and drawing twice.

Connor Ronan scored the only goal of the game the last time the two sides met back at Easter Road in February.

Saints held Hibernian to a 1-1 draw in December - the last time the Hibees visited the SMiSA Stadium. Joe Shaughnessy scored a late equaliser to grab a share of the spoils after Josh Campbell had given the visitors the lead.

The officials

Euan Anderson is the referee on Saturday. He'll be assisted by Daniel McFarlane and Steven Traynor. Greg Aitken is the fourth official.

Up Next: St Mirren v Rangers (10th Apr)

Our final match before the cinch Premiership split takes place on Sunday as we host Rangers at the SMiSA Stadium.

Saints could still make the top six with a win against the Ibrox side - but it would require taking all three points as well as a number of results in the Saturday matches to go our way.

The Buddies have lost their last two league games against Motherwell (2-4) and Dundee United (1-2), but a 1-0 win over Dundee at the Kilmac Stadium in March means Saints could still be in contention for a top six place when Sunday's match comes around.

Rangers head to Paisley on the back of their Europa League Quarter-Final against Braga on Thursday night. Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side travel to Portugal for their first leg tie before returning to Scotland for Sunday's match.

The Ibrox side will be looking to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat to Celtic on Sunday and avoid losing more ground in their hopes of retaining the cinch Premiership title.

St Mirren have faced Rangers twice this season.

The Buddies were narrowly edged out when the Gers visited Paisley back in October. Connor Ronan scored a wonder goal early on to put Saints in front, but a Kemar Roofe penalty and Alfredo Morelos goal gave Rangers the points.

Rangers were also victorious when St Mirren made the short journey to Ibrox on Boxing Day with Scott Wright and Morelos scoring in a 2-0 defeat for Saints.

Our last win against Rangers came at the SMiSA Stadium in December 2020 when Conor McCarthy's last minute goal gave us a dramatic 3-2 win in the league cup and saw us become the first side to beat Rangers domestically in 2020/21.

The officials

John Beaton is the referee on Sunday. The linesmen are Calum Spence and Ross Macleod with Euan Anderson the fourth official.

Up Next: Motherwell v St Mirren (2nd Apr)

St Mirren's final away game before the cinch Premiership split takes place on Saturday as Saints travel to Motherwell.

Both teams still harbour ambitions of a top six finish and know a win is vital in keeping up the chase for one of the remaining positions.

The two sides sit on 36 points - just one point off fifth and sixth placed Hibernian and Livingston.

Saints go into Saturday's match having been agonisingly beaten in the final moments of our game against Dundee United before the international break. However, it was a last minute goal in the prior league match against Dundee that gave Stephen Robinson his first win as St Mirren manager as Connor Ronan scored in a 1-0 win at the Kilmac Stadium.

Meanwhile, Motherwell have yet to win a league match in 2022 with Graham Alexander's men on a run of 11 league games without victory. The Steelmen also lost out to a last minute goal in a 2-1 defeat to St Johnstone prior to the international break.

Saints have faced the Steelmen twice this season - with neither side being separated as both ended in draws.

Eamonn Brophy scored twice at Fir Park in October as the Buddies came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2.

Alex Gogic scored a late header on his debut at the beginning of February which looked to have given Saints all the points when Motherwell visited the SMiSA Stadium. But Ross Tierney scored an injury time goal to give the Lanarkshire side a share of the spoils.

St Mirren have only lost one of their last nine against Motherwell. In that run Saints have won three times (all at Fir Park) and drawn the other five.

It's all to play for with just three matches remaining until the cinch Premiership split.

Saints face Dundee United at the SMiSA Stadium on Saturday ahead of the international break before facing Motherwell at Fir Park and Rangers at home with the race for top six heating up.

The Buddies go into Saturday's match after a battling defeat against Hearts in the Scottish Cup. But Stephen Robinson picked up his first win as St Mirren manager last week when Connor Ronan scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory against Dundee in league action.

Dundee United were knocked out of the Scottish Cup following a 3-0 loss to Celtic on Monday night. Tam Courts' outfit have won one, lost one and drawn three of their last five cinch Premiership matches coming into Saturday's match.

St Mirren have taken four points from their two meetings with Dundee United this season.

The Buddies were held to a 0-0 draw by the Arabs at the SMiSA Stadium back in September. That was the third consecutive 0-0 between the teams in Paisley.

Saints were victorious at Tannadice in their first match of 2022 with Jay Henderson and Eamonn Brophy netting in a 2-1 win.

Up Next: Hearts v St Mirren (12th Mar)

There's a place in the Scottish Cup semi-finals up for grabs when St Mirren take on Hearts on Saturday.

Saints reached the last eight of the Scottish Cup with a 2-0 win away to Ayr United in January before defeating Kelty Hearts 4-0 at the SMiSA Stadium in the Fifth Round last month.

The Buddies come into Saturday's match after a last-gasp win at Dundee on Wednesday night. Connor Ronan's stoppage time goal gave Stephen Robinson his first win as St Mirren manager and kept up the push for top six.

Hearts' path to the Scottish Cup quarters saw them defeat Auchinleck Talbot 5-0 in January. The Fifth Round wasn't as plain-sailing with it taking penalty kicks for the Jambos to see off Livingston in the last round after a goalless 120 minutes.

Robbie Neilson's side go into the match on the back of a 2-2 draw with Dundee United at Tannadice in the cinch Premiership last Saturday.

The last time the two sides met in cup competition was on that famous day in 2013 in which St Mirren defeated Hearts 3-2 at Hampden Park to win the League Cup.

The two last met in the Scottish Cup in 2012. St Mirren drew 2-2 at Tynecastle thanks to goals from Graham Carey and Nigel Hasselbaink, but Hearts won the replay at the SMiSA Stadium.

Up Next: Dundee v St Mirren (9th Mar)

St Mirren travel to Dundee on Wednesday night for a third away game in a row.

This is the third time this fixture has been scheduled to go ahead with the previous two matches postponed due to weather issues.

Saints go into Wednesday's game on the back of losses to Ross County (0-1), Celtic (0-2) and Hearts (0-2). But a win for Stephen Robinson's side could move them level on points with sixth place County and just a point off Hibernian in fourth.

Dundee currently sit at the bottom of the cinch Premiership - just a point behind 11th placed St Johnstone - following draws with Motherwell (1-1) and Hibernian (0-0).

Mark McGhee's side have won two, drawn two and lost two in their last six in all competitions.
