Family Stand Murals Art Competition

My First Match

As part of the ongoing initiative to encourage new fans to our club and making the match day experience more memorable, the St Mirren Supporter Liaison Officers and Northbank (supporters’ group) are holding a competition for two new murals to be painted in the Tony Fitzpatrick Family Stand.

AND WE WANT YOU TO DESIGN THEM!

Therefore, we will be running our competition between Monday 6th February and Friday 24th February for our young fans.

The entries will be divided into two groups – Primary School & Secondary School.

The intention is that the two winning designs, once painted on the walls, inside the Tony Fitzpatrick Family Stand, will provide photo opportunities for fans in the hope that they will then share their photos and the name of St Mirren FC on their own social media.

Requirements of the competition

  • All designs should include the wording 'St Mirren FC'
  • The Primary School designs will also have the wording 'My First Match'
  • Artwork should be in portrait format.
  • Under 16s should have their designs sent in or submitted by an adult.

Entries can be submitted by sending a photograph by email to slo@stmirren.com OR posting the photo in the comments of the original SLO post on social media.

If anyone doesn’t have either of those facilities they can post an A4 size design to SLO, Mural Competition, St.Mirren FC, Greenhill Road, Paisley, PA3 1RU. Remember to include contact details if posting an entry.

The winning design from each age group will be chosen by a mixed aged group of judges and announced on Tuesday 7th March. The winning designs will then be painted on the walls inside the Tony Fitzpatrick Family Stand by Northbank volunteers.

Additional prizes include:

  • Trip to St Mirren FC Training ground to meet first-team players and manager.
  • Family Tickets to Home League match as well as the chance to meet selected first-team players.

Record-Breaking Match Attendances at SMISA Stadium

Highest ever attendance rates since SMiSA Stadium opened

On Christmas Eve 2022, we had a match to remember with St Mirren’s 3-1 victory over Aberdeen, which played out in front of one of the largest crowds ever recorded at SMiSA Stadium since it opened over a decade ago.

The momentum has swept into the new year with the St Mirren v Hearts match also smashing records to rank in the club’s list of top attendance figures.

Chief Operating Officer Keith Lasley said: "With your continued dedication and support, St Mirren’s SMiSA Stadium will achieve the highest average attendance in a season. The stadium has become a fortress with supporters showing up in thousands, that support will help the drive forward throughout the rest of the season."

One way of making sure you are able to watch the St Mirren is by purchasing a half season ticket, which is the best way to support us reaching this target and the only way to guarantee you can attend the upcoming games.

St Mirren’s SMiSA Stadium has stood tall in trying times, acting as a base for many local initiatives and working alongside partner, Kibble to offer food drives and the set-up of a warmbank. The SMiSA Stadium was purpose-built for community, for you, and it has been heart-warming to see fans unite, fill the stands, and celebrate.

Half-season tickets have been reduced in price following our home matches against Aberdeen and Hearts.

Hearts away tickets sold out

Our allocation of tickets for Friday night's match away to Hearts have now sold out!

Winter Warmer Initiative

Ahead of what is set to be one of the toughest winters to date, St Mirren Football Club has launched a new initiative to collect warm clothing and jackets that we can then distribute throughout the local community.

After a great initial response at our match against St Johnstone on Wednesday night, we are once again asking supporters attending Saturday's match against Rangers to bring along any warm items of clothing that they no longer require. We are hoping to collect as many winter jackets, jumpers, scarves, hats, gloves, boots and blankets as we can.

We’ve teamed up with Kibble and Scottish Leather Group to collect and distribute the clothing and ask that you hand in any donations at entrance points when arriving at the SMiSA stadium for the matches.

We’ll also be opening our doors to anyone not attending the matches this week. Winter clothing can also be donated at the Security Gate for Scottish Leather’s Group’s Paisley factory on Turner Drive, Paisley PA3 4EP until Wednesday 16th November. Weekday drop-off hours at Scottish Leather Group are between 8am and 6pm, with weekend hours between 10am and 2pm.

We’ve been overwhelmed with generosity from fans to date and hope that, if you are able, you can support this new initiative and help a Buddie out.
