SMiSA Season Tickets help push us through 3500 mark

SMiSA Season Tickets help push us through 3500 mark | Highest record full season ticket sales at the SMiSA Stadium

Season ticket sales have broken through the 3500 mark with SMiSA’s community season tickets helping us to our highest full season ticket sales since we moved into The SMiSA Stadium in 2009.

SMiSA have taken 20 season tickets for the 2023/24 season that will be used at all home matches for worthwhile community causes. Last season, almost 600 tickets were gifted to groups and charities in and around Renfrewshire as part of SMiSA’s community ticket programme.

It follows record attendances at The SMiSA Stadium last season with more than 120,000 through the gates over the course of 2022/23.

St Mirren Chief Operating Officer Keith Lasley said: "First and foremost, I would personally like to thank all supporters for their terrific backing of the club.

"We are delighted to have sold more than 3500 season tickets for the upcoming season.

As a fan-owned club, supporters are our lifeblood and it’s fitting that SMiSA’s community tickets are the ones that have helped us pass through this milestone."

SMiSA Treasurer Jim Cumming added: "Last season was the fourth year that SMiSA have ran the community season ticket programme and we are delighted that the members have passed the vote to continue into season 2023/24.

We issued 570 tickets to groups and charities in and around Renfrewshire last season and the feedback we received was always positive. Families were given the opportunity to see their local team, which they previously could not do.

"We introduced St Mirren to groups who previously had no affiliation with our famous club."

Introducing our #Connected Home Kit 2023/24

Past. Present. Future.

The 2023/24 Home Kit has been inspired by the club’s historic time period of 1979-81 as the new release pays homage to the kit worn in the Anglo-Scottish Cup as well as the club’s first ever match in Europe. The nostalgic design intentionally connects our past, present and future. The success of our proud past drives forward the passion felt today, motivating us to move forward and continue St Mirren’s legacy.

St Mirren players celebrate their first trophy of note in 21 years when they easily disposed of Bristol City in the Anglo-Scottish final at Love Street in April 1980. Doug Somner scored twice, the other goal coming from Alan Logan. Their elated manager, Jim Clunie, said: "We can now build on this success…The fans were simply magic, simply tremendous."

Introducing The Connected Kit

The latest strip has the classic style of a 'V' neck shape and sophisticated gold badge marking technical kit partner, Macron. Chevrons run down the shirt sleeves comparable with the vintage top from 1979-81. The standout feature is our iconic check pattern, glorified from the renowned St Mirren crest. The chequered design originated from the Royal Stewart family who founded the Paisley Abbey in 1163. Their coat of arms is represented by the club’s blue-and-white check and now, in the 2023/24 kit.

To wear the 2023/24 St Mirren Home Kit is to pay respect to our origin, our past and to our town, which was the beginning of our team. It signifies that by standing side by side, together as a family, we will play and support one another with honour. By respecting our heritage, we stay connected as we grow and strengthen.

Country Manager for Macron, Andrea Palilla, had promised the team wear collection would "draw on St Mirren’s glorious past" and the release hopefully meets fans expectations.

St Mirren Chief Operating Officer, Keith Lasley, said: "Great attention to detail has been taken to create a home kit that keeps to tradition while also incorporating a fresh look to represent our ambitious future. To inspire future success, we have reflected to our past to see how far we’ve come, and we have done it together as a family.

We hope our fans can see and appreciate the lineage and evolution that has inspired the 2023/24 St Mirren Home Kit and the powerful connection linking past, present and future."

Season Ticket sales up 25% on this point last year | General Sale opens tomorrow

Ahead of season tickets going on general sale tomorrow (Wednesday 14th June) we want to thank all supporters that have renewed their season ticket for 2023/24 to be part of #OurFamily.

We are delighted to say that season ticket sales are up by 25% on this point last year as we fast close in on the 3000 sold mark.

It follows a historic season for St Mirren last year as we finished in the top six for the first time in the current setup and secured our highest top-flight finish since 1985.

It was also a record-breaking season in terms of attendances as 121,610 people visited The SMiSA Stadium for our 19 cinch Premiership matches last season. This is a new record at the Greenhill Road Stadium since we moved into in 2009 - beating the previous record of 101,680 set in 2018/19.

St Mirren Chief Operating Officer Keith Lasley said: "It's been incredibly pleasing to see so many people engage with the club over the past year and turn out at The SMiSA Stadium in big numbers.

"Your support helped drive us on home and away last season and we thank you for your continued support ahead of the new season.”

Season Tickets go on general sale tomorrow so if you want to continue to be part of the journey and join #OurFamily then buy your season ticket from 10am tomorrow morning ONLINE or at the St Mirren Ticket Office.
