Visitor Information

  • Electronic Ticketing System

At the SMiSA Stadium we have an electronic ticketing system in place at the turnstiles.

The process of using the system is fairly straight-forward and easy to use:

    • On entering the turnstile you will see the ticket reader.
    • Place your match ticket (with the barcode or QR code facing upwards) or smartcard – into the aperture
    • Once the ticket/smartcard is accepted into the system the green light will illuminate and an audio alert will sound after which you should hear the turnstile being unlocked
    • Push the turnstile gate and enter the stadium as you normally would.

The whole process will only take a few seconds.

Please note that there will be stewards in attendance to help where required.

  • Street Parking on Matchday

The Club has been made aware of problems occasioned by inconsiderate parking in the area of Tannahill Road.

Seemingly supporters are parking despite the presence of double yellow lines and as a consequence local bus routes are also being blocked because streets in this area are narrow and fans are parking on both sides. People, many of whom are elderly, are having to walk from Greenhill Road to their homes because buses can’t get access.

Residents who have cars parked in driveways are experiencing similar difficulties getting their vehicles in and out. On being approached by local residents some supporters have been somewhat aggressive which could lead to confrontation.

St Mirren Football Club strives to be a good neighbour and we would ask that ALL supporters attending the stadium not only park in accordance with local parking restrictions but also give consideration to the needs of local residents by parking sensibly so as not to occasion an unnecessary obstruction.

  • Picking Up & Dropping Off by Car on Match Day

We are also aware of problems with patrons parking at the front of the Main Stand to pick up disabled supporters at the end of the game. This area is a 'no parking' zone on match days (with cones on the road) and has to be kept clear for emergency access. It is an inappropriate location for disabled spectator uplifts, as not only does it cause an obstruction on the road, it also causes a danger to pedestrians leaving the stadium.

Please note that the designated pick-up/drop off points are either in Drums Avenue or the two lay-byes on Ferguslie Park Avenue.

  • Finding the SMiSA Stadium

  • Getting to the SMiSA Stadium

    BY ROAD

Follow signs for Paisley & Glasgow Airport. Exit the M8 at Junction 29 (St James’ Interchange) which is just after Glasgow Airport turn off if travelling east to west. Be careful not to exit on to the A737 which is signposted for Irvine. It is best to stay in the middle lane when passing the Airport as this leads naturally to the St James’ Interchange exit.

At the interchange take the first left onto a dual carriageway with some football parks on the left hand side. Follow this road and after a sharp right hand bend you should now be in Greenock Road. Then take your first right on to Clark Street and drive to the end of the street which is the junction with Greenhill Road, turn left and you will see the stadium on the opposite side of the road.

    BY RAIL

Get train from Paisley Gilmour Street to Paisley St James – exit from the station is straight onto Greenhill Road where the stadium is facing you. To plan your journey by rail with Scotrail please click HERE.

    BY BUS

Most buses will stop at Paisley Cross or Mill Street, from both you will see the Paisley Town Hall. From the Town Hall cross the High Street towards the Piazza Shopping Centre, when acoss walk towards the town centre until you come to Gilmour Street. Turn right on to Gilmour Street and walk towards the railway station which is about 150 yards away. From there you can get train to Paisley St James or if you prefer to walk the following routes are advised by the police:

Home fans: cross road to the left on to St James Street – follow through up Underwood Road then turn right at Greenhill Road where stadium is 200 yards further along the road. Access to the Main Stand is from Greenhill Road and the South and West Stands will be accessed from Drums Avenue.

Away fans: cross road to Love Street continue up the street till you come to Albion Street where you will turn left. Follow Albion Street until you come to the junction with Greenock Road where you will turn right. Cross the road then walk about 200 yards before taking your first left on to Clark Street. Walk straight up Clark Street to the end of the street which is the junction with Greenhill Road, turn left and you will see the the stadium on the opposite side of the road. Access to the North Stand will be from Ferguslie Park Avenue.

Ross Stewart: Loan spell is going well

St Mirren striker Ross Stewart says he's enjoying his loan spell at Alloa after making a promising start to life at The Wasps.

The 21 year-old joined Saints from League One side Albion Rovers in the summer as he made the step up to full time football.

Despite playing a role in the team, which included a goal on his debut, it was decided that the club would allow the forward to go out on loan to play more regularly to help aid his development.

He hooked up with ex-Saint Jim Goodwin's Alloa side in December and made an instant impact at The Wasps scoring three goals in his first three appearances.

And while the striker is set to miss a few weeks of action with an injury, he insists things have been good at Alloa.

It’s going well," Ross told stmirren.com. "To score four in the time that I’ve been there I’m really happy with that.

"I think I scored three in my first three and I think that was partly to do with the gaffer and the boys there making me feel welcome. I think that continued on to the park and helped me with my performances. To get the goals early helps you settle and I think I’ve done that. I think that has been shown in team performances as well as we've managed to get a couple of wins and not lose a lot of games.

"When the loan opportunity came up the gaffer couldn't speak highly enough of the club and how good a set up it is. Even though I'm only there one night a week at training it is a very high standard. Having spoke to both of them [Jack Ross and Jim Goodwin] it was an easy decision to go there to try and get minutes under my belt.

Ross was joined by a familiar face in January when St Mirren teammate Jordan Kirkpatrick joined The Wasps on loan.

When I heard Kirky was joining it was obviously a good thing," he said.

"I know from playing here with Kirky that he is a good player. Him coming into the system and just playing off me makes it easy for me.

"I know he was there last year and a few of the boys who were already there knew it was going to be a positive. He's came in and settled well and is doing well for the team."

It was a big step up for Ross when he made the move to St Mirren in the summer.

The striker had been playing junior football with Kilwinning Rangers before making a move to League One side Albion Rovers.

His form with The Wee Rovers was enough to persuade Jack Ross to offer him his first full time contract and Ross says he has kicked on as a player since moving into the full time environment.

I've seen improvements in my game," he said.

"My fitness is as good as it has ever been and that's down to the training here. It's a very high standard, very high energy so all that accumulating with full time pre-season has definitely helped my game.

"Even the sub appearances, learning that different side of the game being at a full time club and the tactics. It's been really good and I'm really happy and hopefully it can continue."

Statement on Falkirk fixture re-arrangement

The Club would like to address the decision to rearrange our match with Falkirk from its scheduled Tuesday 27th February date to Saturday 24th March.

The team were due to face Dumbarton in a Ladbrokes Championship fixture on Saturday 24th March. However, Dumbarton's win over The New Saints last Saturday saw them reach the final of the IRN-BRU Cup meaning that match would have to be rearranged. Falkirk were due to face Inverness Caledonian Thistle the same day, but as Inverness also made the final it too would have to be rearranged. This would have left ourselves and Falkirk with a free weekend.

The Club discussed the potential for moving the match and came to an agreement with Falkirk to move the match from Tuesday 27th February to Saturday 24th March. This was approved yesterday by the SPFL.

We understand the frustration and disappointment this fixture change has caused some supporters. However, we can assure supporters that this decision wasn't taken lightly.

The team are due to play Brechin City this Saturday (24th February) and Dundee United a week on Friday (2nd March). The decision taken means the players won't now face three matches in six days.

We would like to apologise to any supporters who have been inconvenienced by the fixture change, but hope they can understand the reason behind the decision.

Tickets purchased for the Falkirk match will be valid for the rearranged date. If anyone is unable to attend they can contact the ticket office at 0141-840-6130 or email tickets@stmirren.com for a refund.

Anyone who had booked hospitality for the Falkirk match is advised to contact Commercial Manager, Campbell Kennedy on 0141-840-1337 or email commercial@stmirren.com

Falkirk Match Rescheduled

With Dumbarton having reached the IRN-BRU Cup Final which takes places on Saturday 24th March, St Mirren now have that Saturday free.

We have therefore asked Falkirk FC if they would accommodate us in changing our fixture from Tuesday 27th February to Saturday 24th March accordingly.

It has now been mutually agreed by both clubs and the SPFL have this afternoon approved the switch in dates.

Saturday 24th March 2018
St Mirren v Falkirk
Kick-off: 3:00pm
Paisley 2021 Stadium

Details of the re-arranged Championship match against Dumbarton will be confirmed in due course.

Saints sign Massimo Donati

St Mirren are delighted to announce the signing of Massimo Donati on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

The Italian midfielder has been training with Saints over the last few weeks and has impressed.

The 36 year-old began his career with Serie A side Atalanta before joining AC Milan in 2001.

Massimo has had experience of football in Scotland having joined Celtic in 2007 where he made 55 appearances and scored for the Hoops in vital Champions League matches. After leaving Celtic in 2009 he returned to Italy before making his way back to Scotland in 2016 to sign for Hamilton Academical.

Speaking on joining the club, Massimo said: "I'm still fit, I'm still good with my body. I had to train myself for a few days, then I got this opportunity which I took. I'm at a good club that are very organised; The stadium is good, the fans are as well and I'm happy to be here."

"I've enjoyed it, with the gaffer, all the staff and the team as well - they're very good guys, a very good team. In the team are a lot of young players. I'm here to help, if I can, everybody.

Assistant Manager James Fowler said: "We've been impressed with what we've seen, he's obviously played at a good level and he's got good experience. He spoke to the manager and was keen to come in and try and help the team between now and the end of the season.

"Obviously the boys have been doing great and it's a bit of additional cover. He can play centre back, as we lost Gregor Buchanan in January and we never really replaced him, and he's played defensive central midfield as well."

St Mirren U20s face Hamilton tonight

The St Mirren U20s are in action for the third time in seven days when they face Hamilton Academicals at the SuperSeal Stadium this evening.

The Young Buddies started their run of three games in quick succession with a 3-1 win over St Johnstone at The Paisley 2021 Stadium last Tuesday. That was followed up by a 3-0 loss against Celtic at The Excelsior Stadium on Friday night.

Tonight's SPFL Development League clash takes place at 6pm.

Hippolyte: I want to fight my way into the team

Myles Hippolyte made his debut for St Mirren in Saturday's 4-1 defeat at Livingston, when he came on as a substitute for Cammy Smith on 64 minutes.

Speaking to Buddievision, Hippolyte reflected on the team's performance, but admitted the right team won in the end.

It was a scrappy game," he said.

"Everyone witnessed it today what type of game they play, it's quite physical, a lot of long balls. But they deserved to win, they took their chances and they got the result.

"We thought the game was going to be a flurry of goals as well; scoring so early you expect more to come after that."

Hippolyte signed for St Mirren on transfer deadline day, but has suffered injury woes over the last few weeks. Saturday was the Englishman's first chance at some game time with his new club.

I've only been back in training for a week now. The first week has been good with the boys, I've enjoyed it, everything has been going well. Now to have a run out on the pitch.

"I was hoping my chance went in, but hopefully I get more time and I can help the team a bit more. Hopefully I get more minutes of training under my belt and then try and fight a way into the team."

Hippolyte's Saints' career almost got off to a perfect start as he was so close to scoring a debut goal which would have made the score 3-2 with 15 minutes left.

However, despite beating Neil Alexander in the Livingston goal, the ball was just cleared off the line by the Livingston defence.

Someone took a shot and I just anticipated it coming in, took it on the chest, and as I've turned and hit it's gone under the keeper's legs. I've just seen a blue boot - it happens to hit his boot and he's cleared it.

"You know, chances like that you just need a bit of luck. Then maybe the game would have changed around and we could have probably been pushing them back even more to get another goal. It was an open game and they took their chances and got the right result."

It wasn't the result Hippolyte had hoped for on his first appearance for the club, but he knows it is imperative for the side to bounce back with a win next week when the team take on Brechin City at the Paisley 2021 Stadium.

He also had praise for the 1700 plus fans who made the trip through to West Lothian.

It'll be important to us, we want to win every game and since I've been here everyone is pushing in the right direction and everyone's eager to get results and that's exactly what we want to do in the next two games. Especially with them being at home, we have the advantage. Hopefully it can work in our favour and the fans will get behind us as well, like they were today - they were superb today.

"It was a big turnout, first I've seen of a great turnout from St Mirren since being here - it was impressive. I appreciate the fans as well, hopefully we'll have the same turnout at home games and hopefully we'll do everything right.

"Sometimes that can affect players even more. I've witnessed it when the opposition have been scared of the crowd being on top of them, so it's something that benefits us, and hopefully we can carry on doing the same thing; get results over the next two games and hopefully impress them and leave ourselves chuffed as well."
