Work has taken place over the last few months to make improvements to the Simple Digital Arena.
A new PA system is being put in place by sound equipment company TG Baker who fitted systems at Hampden Park and Kilmarnock. The new system will be a significant upgrade on what we currently have and will allow us to isolate stands and play sound outside the stadium to help those entering get a feel for the atmosphere. It won't be in place in time for Sunday's match against Aberdeen, but is expected to be up and running soon.
Supporters who came along to Tuesday night's Tunnock's Caramel Wafer Cup match may have noticed the new LED lights that have been fitted in the stands by Consilium Contracting Services. The new lights will help us make a substantial saving on our energy costs.
Scotseats have installed a new row of St Mirren branded seats in the director's box which will be used for the Exec Club.
The club has also invested in new lights for the pitch that will help encourage growth of grass in key areas of the pitch that may become damaged such as the goalmouth area. These new lights will help minimise the damage these areas suffer and keep the pitch in good condition all year round.
