The St Mirren Business Club was officially launched on Wednesday 10th April in the Westmarch Suite at the Simple Digital Arena.
The Business Club was formed to offer the chance for our sponsors and business partners the opportunity to network in unique surroundings.
St Mirren Commercial Manager, Campbell Kennedy opened the evening thanking everyone for attending and gave an insight into the idea behind the launch of the Business Club.
Members were treated to two presentations with John McShane, Telecoms Director at our Stadium Sponsors, The Simple Group, first up.
John gave a talk on The Simple Group, explaining all the different divisions of the company which gave everyone an in-depth idea of what they could provide.
The next guest speaker was Colin Scott, Master Blender at Chivas Brothers.
Having started at Chivas in 1972, Colin told the story about three of Chivas' brands - Glenlivet , Chivas 12 year-old & Aberlour. Guests were then served a tasting of each brand by Campbell and Chivas Brand Historian, Alex Robertson.
Chivas presented John McShane with a bottle of Glenlivet Captains Reserve and the guest speakers were each presented with a club tie by Campbell.
Speaking on the success of the night, Campbell said: "I really couldn't have asked for more from the launch.
"We had great turnout with over 40 companies represented and we really achieved what we are looking for from the Business Club.
"The two speakers were superb and there was a great vibe within the room as everyone networked and made some great contacts.
"I would also like to thank two of our staff - Tommy Adams and Vicki Gilzean - for all their great work on the night. It was very much appreciated and helped me achieve what I was looking for from launch night."
The next Business Club meeting takes place in the Westmarch Suite on Thursday 30th May with a reception from 5.30pm and meeting commencing at 6pm.
