St Mirren Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Miguel Freckleton on a deal until summer 2027 subject to international clearance.
The six-foot-four defender pens a two-year contract with the Buddies to join from English Championship side Sheffield United.
The 21-year-old, who has also had loan spells at Wealdstone, Yeovil Town and Chesterfield, spent last season on loan at English League Two side Swindon Town where he made 32 appearances for the Robins.
Manager Stephen Robinson said: "Miguel is someone whose career we have watched develop.
"We feel that he is someone similar to Richard Taylor. He's got good attributes and is really quick. He's still got lots to learn, but at 21 he's played nearly 100 games and we'll continue to work with him.
He's someone who will get better with more football and will become a big asset for ourselves."
