St Mirren Football Club can confirm that Dean Lyness has departed the club by mutual consent.
However, the club has agreed that Dean can continue to train with the squad to maintain his fitness as he searches for a new opportunity.
The goalkeeper first joined Saints in September 2018 on a short-term deal but departed in January 2019 after playing in four matches.
Following a brief stint at Raith Rovers, Dean would return to St Mirren in June 2019 – agreeing a two-year deal before extending that further in February 2021.
Dean made 13 appearances for St Mirren overall and kept four clean sheets with his final appearance against Rangers in April 2022.
