The Buddies picked up a point away to Livingston on Saturday as we remain in 10th place in the William Hill Premiership. Dan Nlundulu's first-half header gave us the lead before Brooklyn Kabongolo levelled to grab a share of the spoils for Livingston. That draw put to an end a three match run of defeats for Saints in the William Hill Premiership.
A win on Tuesday night would see Saints move to within three points of United who sit in seventh place in the William Hill Premiership. United know that a victory would see them go nine points ahead of Saints and 12 clear of the relegation play-offs. Jim Goodwin's side were defeated at the weekend after a 2-0 loss away to Motherwell. That followed home draws with Aberdeen (0-0) and Kilmarnock (1-1).
Both sides boast a win apiece in our two meetings this season. Saints were victorious when the sides met at The SMiSA Stadium in December with Conor McMenamin and Keanu Baccus scoring in a 2-0 win. Dundee United picked up the points at Tannadice in October when they defeated 10 men Saints 3-1.
