Form
Saints defeated Livingston 1-0 at The SMiSA Stadium last weekend to make it three wins in a row in all competitions. Mikael Mandron's goal gave the Buddies a well-deserved victory with Stephen Robinson's men having taken seven points from our last three league matches.
Saints remain in ninth place in the William Hill Premiership and sit five points above Saturday's opponents.
Kilmarnock, under the guidance of caretaker manager Kris Doolan, were beaten 1-0 by Falkirk at Rugby Park on Saturday. That was Killie's third defeat in a row in the William Hill Premiership. The Ayrshire side are without a win in 11 in the league, a run stretching back to a 2-0 win over St Mirren at Rugby Park in October.
In the only other meeting between the two, the Buddies prevailed over Kilmarnock in the Premier Sports Cup in September with Mikael Mandron and Jayden Richardson on the scoresheet. The match finished 2-2 and went all the way to extra-time and penalties. Saints won 5-3 on penalties to progress.
Stephen Robinson's side were victorious when the sides last met at The SMiSA Stadium back in March. It was an emphatic 5-1 win for the Buddies with Caolan Boyd-Munce (x2), Roland Idowu, Mark O'Hara and Declan John on the scoresheet.
