Up Next: Livingston v St Mirren (17th Feb)

St Mirren are on the road in cinch Premiership action this weekend as Stephen Robinson's men head to Livingston on Saturday.

The Buddies go into the match on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Celtic in the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup on Sunday. But despite the defeat, Saints have been on a good run of form having won three of their last five league fixtures with 3-0 wins away to both Aberdeen and Hibernian, while also defeating Dundee 2-0 at The SMiSA Stadium last midweek.

Stephen Robinson's side currently sit in fifth place in the cinch Premiership - a point behind fourth placed Kilmarnock.

Livingston progressed to the quarter-finals of the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup on Saturday after a dramatic comeback victory saw the Lions defeat Partick Thistle 3-2 after extra-time. Livingston's last league win came back in October when Bruce Anderson and Sean Kelly scored in a 2-0 home win over Motherwell.

David Martindale's side sit at the bottom of the cinch Premiership and are six points adrift of 11th placed Ross County having played a game more than the Staggies and 11 points away from the safety of 10th place.

Previous

Saints have won one and drawn one of the two meetings between the two teams this season.

An own-goal from Sean Kelly was enough to give St Mirren a 1-0 victory when Livingston came to The SMiSA Stadium in November.

The Buddies rescued a late point at The Tony Macaroni Arena back in September when Stav Nahmani scored in stoppage time to equalise for Saints in a 1-1 draw. That came after Livingston had taken the lead with what looked like the winner on the 89th minute.

Livingston's last league victory over Saints was in February 2020 when the Lions defeated the Buddies 2-1 at The Tony Macaroni Arena.
