New signing Dan Nlundulu is raring to go after putting pen to paper on a one-year deal at the Buddies.
The 26-year-old was our final signing of the summer as he completed his move after leaving English League One Bolton just before the window slammed shut on deadline day.
Now he’s keen to show what he’s about and experience a new challenge in Scotland.
Speaking to stmirren.com, Dan said: "I'm really excited, excited to play in the SPFL.
"There are a lot of good teams here, so it's a new challenge for me and I'm looking forward to it.
"I think it's a great platform for me to come in and show what I can do. I'm just excited to get that opportunity and show the fans what I can do. I'm a powerful player with the ball, strong hold-up play and can score goals. That's what the gaffer brought me to do and I hope to do that.
"The gaffer is a great guy," he continued as he reflected on his first impressions of Stephen Robinson.
He’s got a lot of enthusiasm which I need as a player. He's very encouraging, but he also sets standards, so I'm looking forward to it. For me, I think it's going to be a great challenge."
Dan comes into a close-knit dressing room and he was keen to stress the importance of that togetherness that he’s felt immediately since joining.
They've made me feel so welcome," he said.
"I've got a few friends that play in the SPFL as well and they've told me about the togetherness that they have as a group. That’s really important because I'm big on my teammates. To have a good performance, you need your teammates.
"They've make me feel welcome and I just can't wait to get on the pitch with them and kick on."
The forward got to know ex-Saints Ethan Erhahon and Richard Taylor - both of whom signed for Bolton during the summer. He chatted with the pair ahead of his move and said they were equally positive about St Mirren.
"I spoke to Ethan [Erhahon] and I spoke to Richard [Taylor]. I got on FaceTime to them.
They told me how good a club this is and it's a great platform for me to come and show what I can do. Clearly, they've shown what they can do here and I'm looking to do the same thing.
"We had really good chats and now I'm just ready to get on the grass. I genuinely can't wait. Different country, different league, a strong league, so I'm looking forward to this.
"Fitness-wise, I'm feeling good. I've only got maybe two or three 90 minutes, so I think I need to get going a little bit fitness-wise and the gaffer has let me know that. I'm in good nick and I'm fit. That's the most important thing."
