St Mirren Football Club can confirm that Peter Urminsky has joined Glentoran on loan until the end of the season.
The Slovakian goalkeeper signs with the NIFL Premiership for the remainder of the campaign with Saints retaining the option to recall in January.
Peter joined Saints in January 2020 following the expiry of his contract Spartak Trnava and subsequently had loan spells at Stenhousemuir and Ayr United. The six-foot-seven shot-stopper would then his St Mirren debut in a 2-0 victory over Cowdenbeath in the Premier Sports Cup in July 2022 before making his Scottish Premiership debut against Rangers in May 2023.
Peter featured in our matches against Arbroath and Forfar Athletic in the Premier Sports Cup at the beginning of this campaign and now moves for more regular game time to aid his development.
Speaking ahead of his loan move, manager Stephen Robinson said: "Peter will go out on loan and get the minutes we keep talking about.
I believe the best way to develop is to play football. You get opportunities every day in training but you never know where somebody is, so he needs to go and play.
"It's a competitive league, there are real demands and I believe he'll excel. It's nothing but good to come back with that experience and potentially create another big asset at the football club."
We wish Peter the best of luck during his time at Glentoran.
