St Mirren Football Club is delighted to confirm that Jonah Ayunga has agreed a new one-year deal with Saints that will keep him with the club until summer 2026.
With his previous contract set to expire at the end of the current campaign, the Kenyan international has now extended his stay for season 2025/26.
Jonah was one of Stephen Robinson’s earliest signings as Saints manager, joining us from Morecambe in summer 2022. The forward has since gone on to make 71 appearances for the Buddies, scoring 11 goals - the most recent of which came in Saturday's 3-2 win over Ross County that secured a third consecutive top-six finish for St Mirren.

Speaking after Saturday’s victory, Jonah said: "I’m really settled.
"My family is up here, it’s a good group of boys and I know the grass isn’t always greener.
I’m happy to be here and that’s three top six finishes on the bounce. I know we can do better and we’ll be looking to kick on again next season.”
Manager Stephen Robinson added: "We’re really pleased to get Jonah signed up for another year.
"He's had to be patient this season, but when he has come in he has contributed well and played a big part in the team over the last few months.
"He’s had to battle back from a tough cruciate knee injury and we’re starting to see all the attributes that we know he has. We’re delighted he’ll be part of the group again next season."
