Covid-19 Week 9 Update - Thank You (12th May 2020)

Covid-19 Week 9 Update - Thank You (12th May 2020)

Thank you to all fans who have already bought their season ticket and signed up to 'Be In That Number' for the 2020/21 campaign. The continued loyalty of our fans is overwhelming and highlights the desire to support the club in even the most difficult circumstances.

To purchase your season ticket click this link or phone 0141-840-6120.

Thanks also to the many fans who have got in touch to let us know that they would love to renew however personal circumstances are making it difficult at this time.

To try and give everyone the best possible chance to retain their existing seat we decided to extend the date to renew until the 24th July for all existing season ticket holders. We will also be announcing news in the next few weeks that will provide more help and make it easier to buy Season Tickets.

Thanks to the fans who have posted messages of support about our Billboard. We are working to ensure St Mirren have a presence throughout Paisley. #OurTownOurTeam

To all our sponsors and advertisers, your continued support of the club alongside our fans is vital to the club and is much appreciated.

A final thank you to everyone for their patience and understanding in these difficult times.

We are #AllInThisTogether.

Street Stuff update

Click on the link for our timetable of activities from Monday 11th May to Sunday 17th May.

Street Stuff staff have developed a new competition via TikTok (@streetstuff_1877), just to add some fun to the long days and weeks ahead.

We are looking into hosting a Netflix party night in which young people can log into a selected movie along with the staff and chat as the movie is being played.

The poster competition was won by two kids who are attending the Trinity High school hub.

Information on all the above is available through the usual media sources available in our previous statements.

Supporters can still get in touch with the club via email.

Fans who wish to purchase anything from the club shop can still do so online. All orders will be processed and posted as quickly as possible and we are finding that goods are usually being delivered within 3-4 days. If you have any queries please email the shop on shop@stmirrendirect.co.uk

The commercial department remains open and supporters and sponsors wishing to make contact are advised to do so by email commercial@stmirren.com.

St Mirren Charitable Foundation

We are pleased to announce that we have secured a new Fruit & Veg partner to add to our seven other partners to date. We will release details in the club update next week and look forward to providing Star Project and all of the families within Renfrewshire who rely on the community fridge service the additional provision of this fresh produce from one of the longest running and most reputable local green grocers.

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded two pots of funding from recent successful applications. The first for £7,500 from National Lottery Awards For All Community Fund and a second pot of £7,000 from the Scottish Government Wellbeing Fund. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to both of these organisations for their advice and support during this challenging time.

Further to the enthusiastic and creative ideas for fundraising we have been thinking about hosting a regular #StripesOnFriday Live Streamed Chat Show with the help of our good friends at Paisley Community Trust. This would involve having themed nights and special guests like 'Captains Fantastic', along with a variety of our most popular St Mirren captains, managers night, cup winners night etc.

This would be a great opportunity to strut our stripes again, have a night out night in, get to talk about all things St Mirren with a small donation being made to the Foundation. We would love fan feedback on this and please feel free to contact us directly with your ideas etc on Twitter, Facebook or email gayle.brannigan@stmirren.com .

Once again, we would like to thank the club, our great team of staff, the fans and local community for your ongoing support, volunteer hours, food donations and kindness.

And finally

We are being quoted in the media as one of the clubs that has scuppered reconstruction talks.

We feel that it is important to put the record straight within our own support.

At the meeting our Chairman clearly stated that we were in favour of continuing reconstruction talks but only if it was a permanent change for the benefit of Scottish Football. We also made it clear that any final decision would be made by the St Mirren board.

Reconstruction is one of the points within the shareholders agreement that requires agreement between SMiSA, Kibble and Gordon Scott, so the board would never make a final decision without the correct protocol being followed.

With reconstruction off the table for now and today's resolution failing it is important now that we all concentrate our energy on finding a way to populate stadiums safely and get back to playing and watching the game we love.

Take care of yourselves and stay safe.
