St Mirren go into the match following a 1-0 win over Hearts at The SMiSA Stadium on Tuesday night. Miguel Freckleton's late header saw the Buddies defeat the league leaders and move up to ninth place in the William Hill Premiership.

Saints defeated Livingston 4-3 on penalties to progress to Friday's Fifth Round tie. Roland Idowu gave us an early lead before a quick equaliser from Scott Arfield. The game would go the distance with Evan Mooney, Marcus Fraser, Liam Donnelly and Malik Dijksteel scoring from the spot to send us through.

Airdrieonians' beat fellow Championship side Arbroath on penalties in the KDM Trust Trophy quarter-final on Tuesday night. That win followed a 2-0 victory away to Dunfermline Athletic in league duty on Saturday.

The Diamonds' Scottish Cup journey began with a 4-0 win at home to Hamilton Academical in November. Aaron Taylor-Sinclair's men then defeated Arbroath 4-2 on penalties following a 3-3 draw in the Fourth Round last month.

Mikael Mandron scored twice for the Buddies in a 2-0 pre-season win against Airdrieonians in July. The Diamonds were the victors the last time the two sides met in competitive action. Justin Devenny and Kyan Gunn scored in a 2-0 win over 10-men Saints in the Premier Sports Cup group stage in July 2022.
