Form
Saints go into Saturday's match on the back of a last-gasp defeat at home to Aberdeen on Saturday. An injury-time goal from Marko Lazetic saw Aberdeen win 1-0 against 10-men Buddies at The SMiSA Stadium. That was a second loss on the bounce for Saints after a defeat to Kilmarnock before the international break. Prior to that, Stephen Robinson's side had won in league matches against Dundee (1-0) and Falkirk (2-1).
Dundee United sit in fourth place in the William Hill Premiership with 10 points, one more than Saints, from eight matches. Jim Goodwin's men picked up a point last weekend after a 2-2 draw with Rangers at Ibrox. After falling behind, second-half goals from Kristijan Trapanovski and Craig Sibbald put Jim Goodwin's side ahead before a late equaliser from the hosts saw it end level in Glasgow. That point came off the back of a 1-1 draw with Livingston and a 2-0 defeat to Kilmarnock, both at home. Their last win came last month when they defeated Aberdeen 2-0 at Tannadice.
Saints were victorious on our last trip to Tannadice with Mikael Mandron and Jonah Ayunga scoring in a 2-0 win back in May.
