Form
The Buddies secured their place in the quarter-finals of the Premier Sports Cup following a 5-4 penalty shoot-out win over Hearts last weekend. Alex Gogic gave Saints a first-half lead before Oisin McEntee equalised for the Gorgie side. Five perfect penalties from Richard King, Marcus Fraser, Roland Idowu, Evan Mooney and Malik Dijksteel saw us progress to the last eight.
Stephen Robinson's men picked up their first point in the William Hill Premiership on matchday two after drawing 0-0 at home against Motherwell.
Rangers come into Sunday's match on the back of a 3-1 defeat at home to Club Brugge on Tuesday in the Champions League Play-Off Round.
Russell Martin's men have picked up two points from their opening two William Hill Premiership matches. An opening day 1-1 draw with Motherwell was followed up by another 1-1 stalemate at Ibrox against Dundee.
Saints are unbeaten in their last three against Rangers, winning two and drawing one. A 2-1 Boxing Day victory at The SMiSA Stadium came thanks to goals from Oisin Smyth and Caolan Boyd-Munce. Goals from Mikael Mandron and Toyosi Olusanya saw Stephen Robinson's men win 2-0 at Ibrox in February - our first victory in Govan since 1991.
Mark O'Hara and Conor McMenamin scored as the Buddies twice came from behind to draw 2-2 with Rangers at The SMiSA Stadium in the last meeting in April.
