JACOB DEVANEY

St Mirren announced the loan signing of Jacob Devaney from Manchester United on deadline day of the January transfer window.

The 18-year-old midfielder joined Saints from the English giants for the remainder of the 2025/26 and immediately impressed, making his debut in a 1-0 win over Hearts at The SMiSA Stadium before scoring his first goal for the Buddies a few days later as we defeated Airdrieonians 2-1 in the Scottish Cup.

Named Manchester United Youth Scholar of the Year in May 2025, Devaney is a highly-rated prospect at Old Trafford and captains the Red Devils' U21 side where he has made 22 appearances this season. The Yorkshire-born midfielder has also been capped six times by Republic of Ireland at U21 level.
