Following a thorough internal review of our purchasing process for wheelchair and ambulant disabled supporters, the club has recently updated its policy for the sale of tickets.
For Season 2025/26 and onwards, wheelchair and ambulant disabled supporters that require a carer ticket must now provide appropriate proof to the St Mirren Ticket Office in the form of a doctor's letter or proof of carer's allowance/carer support payment.
If eligible for a carer, we ask that you name a primary carer on the ticket. However, we are aware that, due to extenuating circumstances, there will be times that it will not be the named carer in attendance.
Regrettably, the previous system left the club open to abuse and subsequently we have recently identified several instances of misuse.
As per our updated Disabled Supporters Policy, "If any wheelchair or ambulant disabled supporter attends admission is charged at our concession rate. If any wheelchair or ambulant supporter requires a carer and can provide appropriate proof of this, the carer ticket will be offered free of charge. While primary carer details will be required at the point of sale, in extenuating circumstances flexibility will be provided if necessary."
While we understand this will affect many loyal supporters, the revised process is intended to ensure that access to carer tickets is fair, consistent and based on verified need.
We would like to apologise for the delay in sharing this information and understand this may cause some inconvenience in the short term. We are exploring ways to make this as smooth and accessible as possible moving forward.
The ticket office will be on hand to assist with your renewals.
We thank you for your patience and your ongoing loyalty to the club.
