ST MIRREN FC THANKS MARK MACMILLAN AND WELCOMES DOUGIE FALCONER TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

St Mirren Football Club have announced that Mark Macmillan has after five years of dedicated service decided to step down from the Board. As part of the transition, Dougie Falconer will join the club’s Board of Directors.

St Mirren Chairman John Needham said:

I would like to thank Mark, on behalf of the Board, for the significant contribution he has made and for all he has done during his time with St Mirren Football Club. We all look forward to welcoming and working with Dougie Falconer as he takes his position on the St Mirren Board."

Mark Macmillan added: "It’s been an absolute privilege to serve on the Board of St Mirren Football Club over the past five years. It has been hugely rewarding to play my part in what has been an era of unprecedented success both on and off the pitch. I wish the Board, the club, and the fans every success in the future. I have no doubt the club will go on to achieve even bigger and better things in the years ahead."

Dougie Falconer joins the Board and brings with him a wealth of leadership experience from a career in public service and the third sector. Most recently serving as the Head of Business Continuity and Risk Management at The Kibble Group. Dougie is a former high-ranking Operations Superintendent with Police Scotland, where he played a pivotal role in some of the most high-profile and complex policing operations across Scotland.

His track record includes leading major organisational change, improving internal processes and efficiency, and delivering on public safety at major sporting events – including at St Mirren FC itself, where he previously assessed incident management and resilience protocols as part of a wider strategic review.

Speaking about his appointment, Dougie said: "I was brought up in Paisley and know all about St Mirren’s proud history and traditions. It is an honour to join the Board of St Mirren Football Club. I look forward to contributing to the club’s continued success and working with my fellow directors to support its ambitions."
