St Mirren Football Club is saddened by the passing of former player Paul McInytre at the age of 59.
John played for Saints during a five year stay at Love Street between 1991 and 1996. Joining the club from Maybole in March 1991, Paul made 152 appearances for the Buddies and scored 11 goals. Paul was a part of the side that defeated Rangers 1-0 at Ibrox in November 1991 and scored an injury-time winner against Airdrieonians to send us into the semi-final of the B&Q Cup in 1993.
A midfielder, Paul departed the club in July 1996 to join Stranraer. He would go on to have spells at Clydebank, Partick Thistle and Cumnock Juniors.
The thoughts of everyone at St Mirren are with Paul's loved ones at this sad time.
