St Mirren Football Club can confirm that Jim Gillespie has resigned as Vice Chair to take up another opportunity within Scottish football as CEO of Rangers FC.
On behalf of the board, we would like to thank Jim for his significant contribution to the club, both as a director since 2020 and as Vice Chair since 2021.
He has been an integral part of the club’s successful transition to fan-ownership and a key part of the innovative partnership between the club and Kibble Group, which continues to deliver outstanding support to children and young people in our local community.
St Mirren Chairman John Needham added: "On a personal level, I am grateful to Jim for his vision, his drive and his counsel as Vice Chair. We have shared many memorable highlights on and off the field since we joined the club, culminating in this season’s Premier Sports Cup Final.
"I wish Jim the best of luck in his future endeavours and reiterate my thanks for his contribution to our club and our local community."
