We are hiring an Events & Sales Coordinator and a Stadium Assistant.
Job: Events and Sales Coordinator
Location: The SMiSA Stadium
Job Type: Part-Time
Hours: 20 hours per week, with opportunity to develop, flexibility required
Salary: £15,000 (pro rata £27,750 based on 37 hours), plus targeted bonus
Reports To: General Manager/Financial Accountant
Job Summary:
Working with the Commercial Manager, in a small but efficient team, to plan, coordinate and execute internal and external events whilst actively promoting and selling the high-quality spaces within our stadium and its services. The post-holder will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of a high-quality customer experience from enquiry through to event completion, supporting the growth of revenue targets and brand reputation. This role will also include hosting one of our premium event spaces on match day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying and pursuing new event and venue hire opportunities, providing detailed information and quotations.
- Meeting sales targets as identified by management.
- Hosting premium event space on match day, ensuring delivery of high-quality match day experience, whilst building key relationships and driving sales for non-match day events.
- Coordinating all aspects of events, including scheduling, bookings, supplier liaison, and on-the-day coordination.
- Communicating with commercial team and other staff members to ensure optimal delivery of all events.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships to encourage repeat business.
- Supporting marketing activities, including promotional events, social media, and campaign development.
- Maintaining accurate records of bookings, invoices, and client communications.
- Monitoring event performance and preparing post-event reports.
- Contributing to forecasting and planning activities.
- Ensuring health & safety and licensing regulations are followed.
- Attending trade shows and networking events where required to drive business.
Experience – Essential:
- Proven experience in coordinating events from concept to delivery.
- Demonstrated success in sales or business development.
- Strong customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing multiple tasks and working to tight deadlines.
- Strong team player, working in a small but high functioning team.
- Experience in sport, hospitality, leisure, or cultural venues.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a related subject.
Desirable:
- First Aid qualification.
- Health & Safety or Risk Assessment training.
- Driving License and access to own vehicle.
Special Conditions:
- Flexibility is essential – the post will involve working weekends, evenings, and bank holidays as required.
- Time off in lieu will be given for out-of-hours working, in accordance with company policy.

Hours: 37 hours per week/flexibility required
Salary: £25,000
Reports To: General Manager/Stadium Manager
Job Summary:
The Stadium Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of various stadium facilities, including providing support in the following areas: commercial, stadium support including health and safety, kitchen and other duties as required. This role requires excellent customer service, organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, as part of a small but high functioning team. The successful candidate will contribute to providing an exceptional experience for players, visitors, staff, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial and Hospitality:
- Set up and break down of commercial events and match day hospitality.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in food and beverage areas.
- Ensure stock levels are maintained and replenished as required.
- Work collaboratively with catering and hospitality teams to provide excellent customer service.
- Be responsible for changing barrels and cellar cleanliness.
- Assist with the delivery of products and goods.
- To assist with opening and lock up procedures.
- Assist with bar and catering operations during events.
- Serve food and beverages in line with health and safety regulations during events.
Stadium Support:
- Conduct routine health and safety checks around the stadium.
- Ensure compliance with stadium safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas, including seating, concourses, and toilets.
- Assist in setting up and tidying event spaces and store rooms.
- Report any maintenance or security concerns to management.
Kitchen Assistant, based at Ralston training ground:
- Assisting in the kitchen.
- Preparing food for the football team.
- Maintaining a clean kitchen and dining area.
- Supporting the other kitchen staff with any other tasks as required.
- Assist with other health and safety duties at the training ground.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and match days.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, high functioning team.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Driving licence and ability to travel between club sites, with access to own vehicle.
Desirable Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in a stadium, event venue, or hospitality environment.
- Educated to HNC level.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and bar licensing laws.
- First aid or health and safety certification.
- Experience handling stock and inventory.
Working Conditions:
- Physically demanding role requiring standing for long periods.
- Exposure to outdoor elements during stadium events.
- Fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure working environment.
- Interaction with large crowds and various club stakeholders.
