St Mirren FC Charitable Foundation set to mark its first Foundation Day
St Mirren FC Charitable Foundation will mark its first Foundation Day on Saturday 24th October, when we face Dundee at the Marbill Coaches Stadium.
Working in collaboration with the St Mirren FC Charitable Foundation, Foundation Day will celebrate the impact of the charity's work across Renfrewshire.
Throughout the week and on matchday, we'll showcase the Foundation's programmes, highlight the people involved and raise awareness of the support available.
Under the banner Our Town. Our Team. Our Foundation., we'll celebrate the people and stories behind our work.
As the official charity of St Mirren FC, we are proud of our connection between the club, the Foundation and its supporters. Community is at the heart of the club and everything the Foundation do, with their work extending far beyond the football pitch.
Every week, the Foundation deliver a wide range of programmes supporting children, families and adults across Renfrewshire. Their work focuses on five key areas: Community Connection, Health and Wellbeing, Education and Empowerment, Mental Fitness and Resilience, and Inspiring Our Youth.
Through their programmes, the Foundation meet people wherever they are in life, helping them take positive steps forward.
Showcasing work across Renfrewshire
In the build-up to Foundation Day, we're collaborating with the Foundation to share videos showcasing the scope of their work. Each video will focus on a different programme, highlighting three of their five key areas.
The series begins today with Fit & Fed, a free holiday camp combining food, football and activities for children while providing additional support for families. The programme highlights Inspiring Our Youth.
On Wednesday, we'll feature Football Memories, delivered in partnership with Alzheimer Scotland. The sessions bring people together through their shared love of football, reflecting our commitment to Community Connection.
Thursday's video will focus on Abbeycare Buddies, a community hub delivered in partnership with Abbeycare. Supporting people who want to achieve recovery from addiction, it highlights the Foundation's work in Mental Fitness and Resilience.
Our Town. Our Team. Our Foundation.
Foundation Day is also an opportunity to recognise the people who make the Foundation's work possible. From staff and volunteers to partners, funders, the club and its supporters, each plays an essential role in what the Foundation delivers.
Gayle Branningan, Chief Executive Officer, St Mirren FC Charitable Foundation said: "The scale and scope of what we deliver is vast, but at the heart of everything we do is bringing people together. Over the years, we have worked hard to earn our place in the community, and that's something we're incredibly proud of."
Above all, Foundation Day is about raising awareness of the Foundation's work, helping more people across Renfrewshire discover the programmes they offer and how to access them.
Developed in collaboration between the club and the Foundation, with creative support from NineTwo, Foundation Day marks an important occasion as we look ahead to the Foundation's tenth anniversary in 2027.
We look forward to welcoming supporters to the Marbill Coaches Stadium on Saturday 24th October.
