Marbill Coaches named as official stadium naming partner
St Mirren Football Club is delighted to announce that it has agreed a three-season sponsorship deal with Marbill Coaches for the stadium naming rights.
The multi-year partnership will see the stadium branded as the The Marbill Coaches Stadium after almost six years as The SMiSA Stadium.
Based in Beith, the family business of Marbill Coaches was started in 1980 and is today the largest coach operator in the West of Scotland. They have been the official Bus Partner of St Mirren Football Club since 2018.
St Mirren Chief Operating Officer Keith Lasley said: "Welcoming Marbill as our new stadium naming rights partner is a significant step forward in our commercial operations.
"It is vital for the club to capitalise on these commercial opportunities when they arise and we are grateful that Marbill are adding to their existing sponsorship of the club.
"We are thankful to SMiSA for their ongoing support and hope that six years of stadium naming has helped raise their profile. We look forward to continuing our strong working relationship and exploring new opportunities to help grow the membership."
St Mirren Commercial Manager Campbell Kennedy added: "St Mirren has enjoyed a fruitful partnership with Marbill since they came on board as our official bus partners in 2018. We are thrilled that they are furthering their support of the club.
"I’d personally like to thank Margaret Jackson for her commitment to getting this deal completed."
Margaret Jackson, Owner of Marbill Coaches, said: "We are delighted to extend our backing to the club by taking on the stadium naming rights.
"Like St Mirren, Marbill Coaches is a family company and supporting the community is at the core of what both we and the club do.
"We have been advertising at the stadium and sponsoring matches since we became the club’s official bus partners in 2018. I met with Commercial Manager Campbell Kennedy to discuss ways in which we could extend that support and stadium naming rights felt like the right opportunity for us."
