League Cup 2013 Winner

John McGinn

The youngest of three McGinn brothers, John came through the youth ranks at St.Mirren before making his first-team debut in 2012. In his first season he helped the club to League Cup success, starting the semi-final and final against Celtic and Hearts.

Lewis Morgan signed for Hibernian in 2015 then moved south to Aston Villa where he helped them to promotion to the English Premier League. He is a regular for Scotland with over 70 caps and 20 goals.

Stephen McGinn

The oldest of the McGinns, Stephen made his debut for St.Mirren on New Year's Day 2007 away to Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

After spells with Watford, Shrewsbury, Sheffield United, Dundee and Wycombe, Stephen returned to Paisley in 2017 and was made captain by Jack Ross.

He made 203 appearances before his departure in summer 2020 and was inducted into the St.Mirren Hall of Fame in May 2022.

Arsenal Academy

Evan Mooney

Erskine born and bred, Evan made 23 appearances for the Buddies after his Premiership debut against Hearts at Tynecastle in October 2024.

The forward netted an important goal in a 3-2 win over St.Johnstone and followed it up with the assist for Caolan Boyd-Munce's winner against Rangers on Boxing Day 2024.

Evan departed in February 2026 to join English Premier League Arsenal.

Ethan Erhahon

Ethan made his first-team debut in 2017 at just 16 years old having been with the club from an early age.

He became a first-team regular under Oran Kearney in 2018/19 and was named St.Mirren Young Player of the Year in 2020/21.

In July 2022 Ethan made his 100th appearance for the Saints first team. Capped by Scotland up to U21 level.

Norwich City · Scotland

Kenny McLean

Kenny joined St.Mirren's academy in 2008. The cultured midfielder made over 100 appearances for the club and was part of the 2013 Scottish League Cup winning squad.

He joined Aberdeen in January 2015, became a first-team regular, and signed for Norwich City in January 2017.

Lewis Morgan

Lewis made his St.Mirren debut against Celtic in September 2014 and became a first-team regular in 2016/17 after scoring his first goal on the final day of the previous season — against Rangers.

He took home Player of the Year in his first full senior season and went on to make over 100 appearances for the Buddies.

In January 2018 he signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with Celtic and now plies his trade with MLS side New York Red Bulls.

Barnsley

Stephen Mallan

Fan favourite Mallan made his debut for the Buddies in November 2014 against Hamilton. While trying to establish himself he scored a wonder goal at Dens Park that December — which won Goal of the Season.

Known for his ability from free-kicks, Stephen played an integral part in Championship survival in 2016/17 before moving on to Barnsley in summer 2017 with more than 100 St.Mirren appearances under his belt.

Academy graduate

Jay Henderson

Academy graduate Jay Henderson was given his first-team debut in Saints' Scottish Cup win over Hamilton in April 2021, then was rewarded with his first start a few weeks later in a Premiership fixture at Ross County.

He has gone on to make almost 40 first-team appearances.

Youngest debutant

Dylan Reid

Dylan Reid became the youngest player in St.Mirren history — and the youngest ever player in the Scottish Premiership — when he made his debut against Rangers aged just 16 years and five days.

Lewis Jamieson10

Academy graduate

Lewis Jamieson

Academy graduate Lewis Jamieson made his first-team debut in August 2020 as a late substitute against Rangers at Ibrox.

He has since gained further experience on loan at Clyde, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Airdrieonians.

Kieran Offord

Kieran made his St.Mirren debut starting in a 0-0 draw with Celtic at the SMiSA Stadium, followed by an appearance at Ibrox a few days later.

Capped by Scotland at U16 and U19 level with loan experience at Alloa Athletic and East Stirlingshire.

Kyle Magennis

Given his first-team debut by Jack Ross as a half-time substitute at Easter Road in October 2016.

Won the club's Young Player of the Year award in 2016/17 before playing a big part in promotion to the Premiership in 2018. Over 100 appearances for the Buddies before linking up with Jack Ross again at Hibernian.

Forest Green Rovers

Kyle McAllister

Kyle returned to St.Mirren in summer 2019 on a three-year deal after a spell at Derby County. He made his Saints debut at just 17 and his early form earned him the move to the English Championship.

He left St.Mirren in summer 2022 with over 100 first-team appearances and now plays for English League One side Forest Green Rovers.

Cammy MacPherson

Cammy made just under 100 first-team appearances for Saints before departing for St.Johnstone in August 2021.

A regular with the U20 squad, he made his first-team debut in a Scottish Cup tie against Dundee in 2017 and won the club's Young Player of the Year award for 2019/20.

Championship 2017/18

Jack Baird

The big central defender was a regular in the U20s before breaking into the first team in 2014, debuting in November of that year away to Hamilton.

Jack played a big part in the 2017/18 Championship win as well as the 2016/17 and 2018/19 Premiership survival seasons. Over 100 appearances before departing in 2020.

Sean Kelly

Sean broke into the first team in 2013 after standing out in the U20s and a loan spell at East Stirlingshire. He became a Premiership regular and made over 100 appearances for Saints.

Moved to AFC Wimbledon at the end of 2015/16 before returning to Scotland with Ross County and now Livingston.

Marc McAusland

Marc entered St.Mirren's youth system aged 10 and made his first-team debut as a substitute against Gretna on 29th March 2008.

Picked up the club's Young Player of the Season award for 2010/11 and was part of the 2013 League Cup winning side.

Jason Naismith18

Scotland youth

Jason Naismith

Jason made his competitive debut in February 2012 as a substitute in a 1-1 draw against Aberdeen at St.Mirren Park.

Capped for Scotland at youth level and another product of the Academy who went on to make over 100 appearances for the club, with later stops at Ross County, Peterborough, Hibernian, Kilmarnock and Queen's Park.
