Kevin Van Veen joined St Mirren on a season long loan on deadline day of the 2024 summer transfer window from Dutch side Groningen FC.
The striker had signed for Eredivisie outfit in 2023 after a record-breaking final season at Motherwell where he scored 29 goals in 44 matches, including scoring in 11 consecutive games – a club record for the Steelmen.
Prior to his move to Motherwell, Van Veen spent time in England with Scunthorpe United, where he scored 41 goals, and Northampton Town, where he netted 10 goals in 38 appearances.
