44 Adam Eckersley

A pro-youth player with Manchester United, Adam Eckersley had loan spells with Royal Antwerp, Brondby, Barnsley and Port Vale before signing with The Valiants on a more permanent basis in January 2008.

At the end of the 2008/09 season Adam headed to mainland Europe to sign up with Danish Superliga side Horsens where he made 40 appearances before moving to Aarhus in 2010.

Four years later the defender had his first stint in Scottish football when he joined up with Hearts who went on the win the Ladbrokes Championship that season. Despite being a part of the Championship winning side, Adam was released by the Jambos but was quickly snapped up by Edinburgh rivals Hibernian.

In January 2016 Adam left The Hibees and headed across the Atlantic to sign with North American Soccer League side FC Edmonton where he made 24 appearances before signing for St Mirren on the final day of the January 2017 transfer window.

In the 2019 January transfer window, Adam joined Forfar Athletic on loan until the end of the season.
